Video Sitemaps - Clarification Needed
-
I'm trying to make sense of video sitemaps so I can get one up and going but the set up seems unclear. We currently have 7 videos created and up on Youtube. I've got them embedded on the site to a "Video" landing page as well as having these product demo videos embedded on appropriate product detail pages.
So when setting up the video sitemap it looks like I'll be using the video:player_loctag as opposed to video:content_locbecause I'm not linking to the file itself but rather a page it's hosted on. Correct? Additionally I'm adding the product detail page url here, not Youtube right? Lastly, do I need to insert an autoplay piece on the videos on the product detail page? I feel that would be an annoying user experience.</video:content_loc></video:player_loc>
So part of my sitemap might look like this...
<video:player_loc allow_embed="yes" autoplay="ap=[?]">http://website/ProductDetailURL</video:player_loc>

No problem, thanks for the input. I've read the post which actually created some of my questions originally.

I haven't done a video sitemap, but I remember reading the Google blog post explaining them, so I'm not sure if you have read either of these resources or not, but they would be an excellent place to look for an answer to your question if no one else here knows how to answer them for you:

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, good luck!

Sitemap indexation
3 days ago I sent in a new sitemap for a new platform. Its 23.412 pages but until now its only 4 pages (!!) that are indexed according to the Webmaster Tools. Why so few? Our stage-enviroment got indexed (more than 50K pages) in a few days by a mistake.

Keyword Density Clarification, Please
Does keyword density only account for the content-based text on the page or everything that can be crawled on the page? To illustrate, I'll use this forum page and the keyword Moz. Here's my incredibly short blog post: "Moz forum is very helpful, but I still can't figure out Moz analytics." Now, in terms of keyword density, is "Moz" only being counted twice for the times I mentioned it in my post (what I'm calling content-based text) or is "Moz" being counted 40-50 times for all the places it appears on this page. Thanks, Ruben

Best practice for XML sitemap depth
We run an eCommerce for education products with 20 or so subject based catalogues (Maths, Literacy etc) and each catalogue having numerous ranges (Counting, Maths Games etc) then products within those. We carry approximately 15,000 products. My question is around the sitemap we submit - nightly - and it's depth. It is currently set to cover off home, catalogues and ranges plus all static content (about us etc). Should we be submitting sitemaps to include product pages as well? Does it matter or would it not make much difference in terms of search. Thanks in advance.

Xml Sitemap
Hi mozzers, I am about to submit a sitemap for one of my clients via webmaster tools. The issue is that I have way too many urls that I don't want them to be indexed by Google such as testing pages, auto generated pages... Is there way to remove certain URL from the XML sitemap or is this impossible? If impossible, is the only way to control these urls is to "No index" all these pages that i don't want the search engine to see? Thanks Mozzers,

Robots.txt Sitemap with Relative Path
Hi Everyone, In robots.txt, can the sitemap be indicated with a relative path? I'm trying to roll out a robots file to ~200 websites, and they all have the same relative path for a sitemap but each is hosted on its own domain. Basically I'm trying to avoid needing to create 200 different robots.txt files just to change the domain. If I do need to do that, though, is there an easier way than just trudging through it?
