Backlink from my YouTube Channel, helpful for SEO?

A website will include a link to a youtube video associated with my channel. Does my website also get SEO credit, even though that website isn't linking directly to my site, but rather to a video on my youtube channel. The youtube video is also uploaded to my website, but this website wants to link to the video directly on youtube.
Website is "www.hawaiijobengine.com" and youtube channel is "hawaiijobegnine.com" - how does Google know these 2 are same owner?

My guess is no -- otherwise, we'd all have the latest viral cat video with 25,000,000 million views also embedded on our own website.

what i was saying the only way to get SEO value to your youtube video. is there the Title, url and keyword tags for searches. Mostly the Title.
As brad said the more your video is shared the better SEO value it creates ( FOR THE VIDEO ON YOUTUBE not on your site ! that is what i was trying to convey with the message i wrote. Your site will not gain SEO value because the links as Brad said are No-follows . But you gain seo value by your embedding your Url so people visit your site. Also you gain social signals as more people comment and share.

Is my website getting any SEO value from a site linking to the video on youtube? Does Google see a connection between the youtube video and my website? Can I increase the chance Google sees such connection?

If I am understanding this question correctly, you want to know if you get any SEO value from other sites linking to or embedding your videos?
The more people that link/embed is a good thing for you. If you have optimised your videos you can link back to your own site (even though the links are nofollowed). The more links/views/embeds the better.
For an example of this, see this video we uploaded a while ago: http://youtu.be/AGCabu8qjRc
We also embed this video on our site, and are more than happy for others to embed on their site as well.

You are saying: if the website does not directly link to my website (rather to a video on youtube) then my website will get zero credit for the linking, correct?

I am not sure i understand the question correctly.
SEO Credit for what exactly?
The only SEO you can do with you tube is in Meta Data, Categories and Name of the video.
Can you further explain what you mean ?
Because as far as i know if the site is not providing you direct link to your website ie: anchor text or sub link in the body of the page that is displaying the video, then you wont really get any link credit per say except people watching your video on the youtube page and linking to your site.

Hi all I see that Moz gives data on Linking Domains and also External Links. The former being the number of domains which have one or more links pointing at your site and the latter the total number of links, including multiple links on the same domain. Apart from the potential benefit of people clicking the links and coming to your site and so increasing traffic, is there any SEO ranking benefit from multiple links? Site under attack from Android SEO bots - expert help needed
For last 25 days, we are facing a weird attack on our site. We are getting 10x the normal mobile traffic - all from Android, searching for our name specifically. We are sure that this is not authentic traffic as the traffic is coming from Organic searches and bouncing off. Initially, we thought this was a DDoS attack, but that does not seem to be the case. It looks like someone is trying to damage our Google reputation by performing too many searches and bouncing off. Has any one else faced a similar issue before? What can be done to mitigate the impact on site. (FYI - we get ~2M visits month on month, 80% from Google organic searches). Any help would be highly appreciated.

Cookieless subdomains Vs SEO
We have one .com that has all our unique content and then 25 other ccltd sites that are translated versions of the .com for each country we operate in. They are not linked together but we have href lang'd it all together. We now want to serve up all static content of our global website (26 local country sites, .com, .co.uk, .se, etc) from one cookie-less subdomain. Benefit is speed improvement. The question is whether from an SEO perspective, can all static content come from static.domain.com or should we do one for each ccltd where it would come form static.domain.xx (where xx is localised to the domain in question)

SEO frustration...is my website too busy?
My real estate website, www.RiverValleyGroup.com, is currently not ranked in the top-50 for any of the keywords that I am currently targeting. I am targeting keywords such as 'Louisville homes', 'homes for sale in Louisville KY', etc....I am starting to think maybe my site needs to be revamped? I'm fairly new to SEO and have no idea how to get on the 1st page of Google for targeted keywords. Please help!

Help Identifying Unnatural Links

We downloaded and carried out a full link audit (3639 links) and logged in an excel spreadsheet with the following status: OK, Have Contacted, Can't Contact, Not SureWe have had some success but the majority of the ones we identified are not contactable.We use the dis-avow tool to tell Google of these. We then submitted a reconsideration request where we explained to Google our efforts and that we can supply them with our audit if necessary by email as you can't upload any evidence.A few days later we received a response suggesting that we still have unnatural links. We are a little stuck as we don't know what they can be:1. Is Google actually looking at our dis-avowed links before making this judgement?2. HTML entities and SEO
I recently came across an article on HTML entities that discussed how their appear in search results. The same article also mentioned that their use might be considered spam. Since I know nothing of them (other than what I read in the one article) are they a good or bad idea to make meta descriptions stand out from the crowd?
