Feed sites replacing my pages in SERP
-
I have a problem!
Sites like:
http://lynk.ly/
http://www.yousaytoo.com/
http://www.stumbleupon.com/
http://friendfeed.com/Are replacing my posts even if i am searching for an exact title of the post.
For example this search query:
Christmas Party Style Sets With Black Cocktail DressesOriginal post here:
http://richclubgirl.com/christmas-party/christmas-party-style-sets-with-black-cocktail-dresses/How do i fight this issue? I want to stay on these sites somehow!
Thanks in advance!

You still have these links out there. The pages linking to you are still indexed. And they seem to be cloaking for Google...
http://thesavedquarter.com/2011/03/franklin-goose-you-suck/
The URL above links to you with the text "propecia 5mg" and links to this URL:
http://richclubgirl.com/tag/prada/When you or I visit that URL (thesavedquarter...) we will probably see a blank, white page. However, when Google visits the page they see content, including that spammy link to your site. You can tell this in two ways:
1. Visit Google's cache of the page, which is here:
2. Use a tool that allows you to switch your user agent (Webmaster Tools allows you to do this too, but I use a Firefox plugin) so that you can browse the web as Googlebot, in which case you will see what Google sees on that page, which is the content and a spammy link to your website in the right sidebar.
The reason this would be affected newer pages, as someone else mentioned in the other thread, is because your newer posts do not have the authority / trust of the older ones and are thus more easily affected by filters and penalties from Google.
Follow Oleg's advice regarding the backlink profile cleanup and make sure your site is very secure. As I mentioned in the other thread, use the disavow link tool, report the cloaking pages to Google as spam, and as they come out of the index hopefully the situation will improve. A reinclusion request after the links are cleaned up may help, but my guess is this is algorithmic so they may tell you that you don't have a penalty. In either case, cleaning up those links from the other sites should help. Good luck!

To add to what Oleg has advised...
Fat pinging your articles will help you:

And, here is a very informative post about how to leverage your original content:

Now i see them, thanks! Will try to use this tool! Thanks for an advice!
Traffic from Google dropped in Apr 2012 and was decreasing all the time till Nov 2012.
In total it decreased 9 times. In November is started to grow. In October i moved to a new hosting with old domain to get rid of pharma hack! Pharma hack dissappeared. Links are present somewhere! Will try the tool!GWT is set up, XML sitemap submitted, all posts indexed to this date.
-
New pages don't have any authority right away so the penalization is more noticeable, while your old articles have links/are more established and rank better than new ones in general (my guess).
I used OSE as well - http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/anchors.html?page=1&site=richclubgirl.com&sort=domains_linking_page&source=phrase&target=domain
Your best bet is to use the disavow tool.
Have you ever experienced a traffic drop? If yes, see what day that happened and if there were updates around that time.
Do you have GWT set up? Sitemaps submitted/updated with latest posts?
-
Thank You for Your reply, Oleg! But all posts older 2012 are performing well in Google! I don't see sense. Is it possible to penalize newest posts only?
There was pharma hack before, but i've moved to a new domain. Links are left somewhere! How can i get rid of them?
I looked in Open Site Explorer but didn't find any links with viagra anchors! Where did you look?
-
Usually you should outrank those site but I think you might have been penalized / hit with negative SEO =/
I clicked around your backlink profile and it looks like there are a lot of links with pharma anchor text (viagra in the philippines, tramadol 50mg, etc). I would recommend a backlink audit and removal of all of those negative links and see if that bounces you back up!
Cheers!
Oleg

(Need helps here!) Can homepage and other internal pages (services) rank high together on Google?
Hi Moz community, Recently I am working on our website's SEO. Our company is a marketing agency. We provide general marketing services and also web design. Here is the content of our homepage and internal pages (specific services). Homepage (marketing agency) Internal page #1 (XXX marketing service) Internal page #2 (YYY marketing service) Internal page #3 (web design) I suggest to my supervisor that we could make some improvement and optimize different keywords for these 4 pages, respectively (homepage, internal page #1 #2 #3). However, my supervisor holds a different point of view that homepage and internal page#3 cannot rank both high for their own keywords because web design is not as related to marketing. So I did some research and look for some top-ranking marketing agency guys who also offer web design. I found their internal pages about web design service rank pretty bad for their own web-design-related keywords. Here are my thoughts and guess (please correct me if I am wrong): Google takes everything into account and deems web design to be kind of irrelevant content to the website, so the internal page for web design will not rank high. The internal page has so much lower power than the homepage so it got outranked by the guys whose homepages are all about web design and development. My question is: In above case, can homepage and other internal pages (our services) all rank high together for their own keywords? I know what I wrote is kind of confusing...But I really need help here and want to solve this problem badly. Really appreciate any help!! Thank you in advance! Best, Raymond

Penguin Case Study: Need sites that were hit
I am currently trying to do a massive study on Penguin right now, you can read more about it here if you wish http://www.seomoz.org/q/my-penguin-recovery-attempt Anyways I need some data, can anyone who is willing give me a list of known sites that were hit from Penguin 1.0 Only. This can include the 2 Data refreshes after that, but basically nothing from 2.0 I also need a site in the same niche that you are aware of that did not get hit from Penguin 1.0. Possibly the #1 guy at the top would be nice. So I need Domains Hit from Penguin 1.0 Top Domains in same niche that were not hit You can send me a message with the domain if you are not comfortable posting it here. Thanks all ahead of time 🙂

What's causing this site to rank better than another?
As I work on getting a grasp for what causes sites to rank better than others, I'm a bit stumped with two of our competitors. When you search Google for "essay editing" you get these results: 1. Ivyeyesediting.com 2. papercheck.com 3. gradesaver.com 4. scribendi.com 5. essayedge.com When you put these in OSE, it seems crazy that Ivyeyes is anywhere near the top. For example, essayedge creams these guys on EVERY single category. As a new SEO here, what am I missing. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Not only that, it's pretty discouraging seeing essayedge so far down the SERPS with what appears to be some really great numbers. Can anyone shed some light on this?

How does a site get to no 3 in Google with no KW in their links?!!
Hello everyone, my first post - ahhh I'm investigating a niche and there is a site that should have no right being there in my view. It's no. 3 Google UK for 'company formation' with a small site with 65 weak links from only 7 domains and hosted in the US. But more importantly, the Open Site Explorer says there is not 1 link with that term in its anchor text. This I find crazy and makes me suspicious. But before I go back to my client saying "oh they must be black hat" I would like your expert views. I'm not sure whether to tut or congratulate them and for the first time I'm not sure what reasons to give for their amazing performance! What's your views?
