Which is More Powerful? Content or Backlinks: Ecommerce Sales
-
Hello,
Which do you guys think would bring in more sales: doubling the content across all category pages and top 30 products, or getting 10% more good unique root domain backlinks from broken link building?
350 products in total
50 main categories
150 subcategories.
Product page content would be frequently asked questions for the product and would be added by the site owner who is an expert.
Thanks.

This is a little like saying, "What will get me further – more gas in the tank or a better engine?" when we don't know what car you drive, how much gas you have, what the quality of these inputs are, etc.
That being said, just creating content though without generating some interest in it (social shares, links, and so on) might increase search traffic due to increased relevancy to searchers, but it might also simply give search engines another portion of your sitemap to ignore. It's tough to say without having a lot more information unfortunately.
That all being said, you can rank #1 for all of your key terms and still have no sales if the UX is bad, there are no good purchase CTAs, etc, so you kind of have a third consideration in here – content creation, link building, and CRO.

How to identify spammy website before making backlinks on them
Hi, I search in google but didnt find a proper answer for this! maybe search an incorrect keyword! The question is, How can I find out a website that I'm going to make a backlink on is a spammy website? For example I did this guest bloging on this good website: Best Sure-Shot Organic Pest Control Approaches Every Gardener Should Know | Balcony Garden Web But it seems to be spammy because I use SEO POWERSUIT software that shows this backlink is 20% risk of google penalty! Is it right!? So how can we rest assured for making a quality backlink? I can not think any other way 😞

Backlink lag time or not indexed?
I've looked through a few questions relating to backlinks not showing up in Open Site Explorer and I've got the same problem. I want to understand whether my backlinks aren't showing in SEOmoz due to a lag time (some say 5 - 8weeks) or because google hasn't indexed them.

How long it takes to see backlink ?
We are promoting a law related website and I have posted a blog as a guest on a Law related blog which has PR 3 and Alexa Ranking 171.. It's been 3 weeks but when i run a backlink report from OpenExplorer or other tools that i use, i cannot see the link coming through at all. There is no no follow attached. I'd like to continue to post more articles on the same website but i need to make sure i am getting good links from it otherwise i will go somewhere else. However, i need to understand why do i not get links from that blog as it is very reputable and good blog. I appreciate if you can advise please? Thanks!

Why are Backlinks not showing up?
I've been building backlinks for about 2 months now, but the links are not showing up in seomoz. What is going on? I've built backlinks across many different domains and using a variety of techniques including: directories blog posts blog commenting pr websites industry sites that allow blog posting and press release posting industry forums Some of the links I built were from finding links competitors had and then creating a similar link, like blog commenting. In some cases I took blog articles from our site and published them on industry blog sites. I've searched for many of the pages and I CAN find them, so they ARE being indexed by Google, but they are not showing up as backlinks. I've read some posts that say it can take anywhere from 2 to 5 months or longer before the links show up. I've also read that Google's Webmaster Tools may show the links before seomoz does. Couple questions: Why don't the links show up as backlinks in seomoz? Will they show up eventually in seomoz and, if so, when? Should the links show up in Google Webmaster tools before they do in seomoz? Is there any good reason to believe some of the links will never get recognized, or should I be confident that they will eventually get recognized?

Is publishing content on multiple platforms like Tumblr, Blogger, Posterous, etc. a legit way to build backlinks?
My client has a fishing report that is published weekly on his blog. Would it be wise to syndicate that content on these other services with backlinks baked into each one? Any thoughts?
