Lower case and SEO
-
Hi
I have a client who wants his whole site to be in lower case with the exception of his company name. Absolutely everything.
I just want to check whether or not this will effect the way Google sees the site?
Does anyone have any idea?
........ and do you have any experience or data to support your views?
Thank you

Many thanks for your input - and I agree with you with regards to how Google might see the content, and why I asked the question.
Google know what content people hang about and browse and are clever enough to know if a 'style' puts people off. So what may be my clients 'visual' comfort zone is probably not the majority of the prospects he is trying to reach.
But, if all else fails Marks suggestion is a compromise.
Thanks again

Thanks Mark
Your answer is very helpful - and one I shall adopt if the client insists.
However, it begs the question - if Google might see this as a poor quality content (my initial concern) then they have a reason for that and know what engages the web browser - and whilst having text with no caps is in my clients 'visual' comfort zone it might not be the same for those he is trying to sell to!
Thanks and again and best wishes

Mark's suggestion was quite good and yes I would say if the site isn't written properly (putting caps where they should be) google might see it as a sign of poor quality content.
All the best.

Why not write the content normally and use css to style the text to force lowercase - this way it shows up in the engines and to other crawlers as readable and normal text, while it displays in the browser to humans as lowercase? that's what I would do

Does blogging with a wysiwyg negatively affect SEO (vs. hand coding)?
Many bloggers use a wysiwyg editor to write posts. Are there any drawbacks to wysiwyg vs plain text? When I write blogs I prefer to hand code my text to be sure everything is optimized. My feeling is that wysiwyg leads to code bloat and generally fewer optimization opportunities. I have no real evidence. Is there any reason not to use the wysiwyg editor?

Does using keywords in the top level domain make any difference to SEO rankingsq
i am setting up a new company and I need to register a domain name, is there any advantage to using the full name of the company in the domain name? I know it used to be important but does it still make a difference? If possible I would like to just use say the first letter of each of the 3 words instead what will amount to 23 letters but of it makes a difference then 23 letters it will have to be. Thanks

URL SEO: Better directory structure vs. exact keyword phrase
I am trying to understand how to best optimise a url for a page to rank high for specific keywords. Example: a top keyword search is "rental properties in new york". Question is does this keyword need to appear as this exact phrase in the url or should it be broken up into different directories for a better structure e.g.: www.abc.com/en/properties/new-york/rental OR www.abc.com/en/rental-properties-in-new-york Which will help the page rank higher (given all other things on the page are exactly the same)? Thanks!

SEO for page that is made up of multiple posts
When a page is made up of lots of individual wordpress posts, how should it be handled from an SEO perspective? Should the individual posts be hidden from the search engines and only the page url which contains all the posts collectivity be indexed? Page in question below: http://teammateworld.com/case-studies/ Thanks in advance.

Please review page for on page SEO
I'm working on an adult dating site review blog and am hoping to build links to the category pages. It's a wordpress blog so the posts are categorised by topics. However can you tell me if there is enough content on the page for google to identify what the page is about? The problem is that the content of each category pages is pulled from the posts. What I think is needed is some static text on the page 2-300 words that use the keyword. Here's an example of a page targeting the keywords 'online dating'. http://www.top-10-dating-reviews.com/category/online-dating/

FAQS For Seo & Long Tail Optimization
Would it be ok to create a small FAQ section on the particular page I am working on using long tail keywords, all which have low competition, high search volume? I see a few competitors ranking this way, but it does not flow, its very obvious they are stuffing. Thanks!
