Has anyone used seolinkvine

Has anyone used seolinkvine? They talk about it being very good but sometimes too good to be true with these prices. It seems legit and simple but obviously results will vary for everyone.

Not quite up to date with their latest offering, but I've used it in the past along with many other content networks.
Unlike many people here I don't think something should be ignored just because it's against search engine guidelines. If nothing else it's worth testing what's working, then figuring out why it's working.
To answer your question; of the many large and small content networks I tested, SEOLinkVine produced the worst results by far. ALN and 10LAD both produced results, either in combination with other linking or on their own (before being decimated). SEOLinkVine did not.
I see they claim to have updated but are selling the same results as before. If it didn't work then, I'm not convinced it will work now.
Thoughts on proceeding.
Personally curated content networks, or even joining some smaller editor driven content networks will still probably get you results, if done well. However when they get found out and discounted you'll be in trouble. Sites that I had propped up by these networks ended up with a penalty from which they've still not recovered.
If you're after some shorter term success, might be worth doing, but in the long run you'll be better putting efforts into improving the site and relationships.

My guess is the reason people do it is because it's easy and they think it will do them some good.
I understand wanting to get links. But you also don't want to wish you could remove those links two months down the road. For example, you'll see sites and gigs that advertise getting a bunch of .edu links, which may initially sound wonderful, but may actually end up looking like https://drupalsites.purchase.edu/journalism/index.php?q=node/52. No human is going to read that and buy from you, and a search engine isn't going to give your site any positive value form that type of link.
Here are a bunch of posts in the Link Building section of the SEOmoz blog about how some of the experts go about getting links. http://www.seomoz.org/blog/category/link-building

Well i see your point but then why do so many people do it?
I guess what i am really looking for is other ways to get links. Is manual emailing and hoping for links the way all the pros do this?
-
Those two haven't been discussed much specifically on SEOmoz, but in general this crowd isn't in favor of submitting the same piece of content to tons of blogs you've never seen before, having link/blog networks, or having a bunch of spun content. It's funny to talk about "Think before you beverage" being in an article about alcoholism, but less so when that's what has been done to your content to make it unique.

Also what about unique article wizard? They talk about being a step above link vine and comply more with the latest google rules.

Not sure which url to use for backlinks
Hi our site, northamericahvac.com automatically goes to http://www.northamericahvac.com/servlet/StoreFront. There isnt anything I can do about it though, because we use prostores which limits things for us. That leads me to ask, when I'm making backlinks would I use northamericahvac.com www.northamericahvac,com, or http://www.northamericahvac.com/servlet/StoreFront.

Should I use a branded url or an exact match, and which branded url?
I'm thinking of changing my client's 37 character exact match url because it looks spammy to me and Google says it will be turning the dial down on exact match domains. I still see a lot of value in it however and it is helping this client, albeit very little since he is new in his arena. His goal is to rank for keywords in that url so I hate to lose the benefit of that url. As an example, let's say his url is floridahealthinsurance-quote.com I'm concerned now because I plan to do some reputable and highly relevant link building and I'm afraid bloggers might hesitate linking to a spammy sounding url. This client does have a branded url that is short and sweet, something like millerbenefits.net, and that redirects to the long url. Back linkers could link to the short url instead. However, it lands people on the site with the long spammy-sounding url and they may not want to be affiliated with it. Something like millerbenefitsinsurance.com is available and it does have 2 keywords in it. Should I get that instead? In short the question is this:

Use of href=# or href=hash
I use links with href="#" to trigger ajax functions in order to filter/sort and refresh search results on page. Since several other html tags could potentially be used to bind a javascript event, (ie. span, img, div, etc), could there be a compelling reason to avoid using the anchor tag for this purpose? My concern is link juice dilution since many different pages will have the same links to: Sort by number of bedrooms or Filter by neighborhood. It is also common practice to use links with href="#" to submit ajax forms which are not html forms at all. I am just trying to rethink this practice and implement a best practice method. Thx
