Import Keywords from 1 campaign to another
-
Hi There,
I've got one campaign set up and just created another in my dashboard.
I have roughly 300 keywords added and categorized in campaign 1.
I want to export these exact keywords, (and to also remain categorized the same), into campaign 2.
How can I do this without having to add each keyword individually and recreating the categories again?
Basically, I want to export my keywords/copy/past from one campaign, to another. I don't want to set everything up again.
How can I do this?
Thanks,
Reena.

It actually wasn't that bad. There was no need to edit out any of the categories or add comma when you pasted in. However, all the category information was lost. Still want the "copy to another campaign" button.

Abe, please add this feature to the next update. Kinda a no brainer to have it, and you don't. Thank your for your recommendation, and I'm about to go do it, but I'm taking the time to write this post, and it should be entitledREALLY?

Hi,
Thanks for your response. There is definitely no option to "copy to" and "edit". When you select add/manage, there is only the option to "delete".
Can you some upload a screenshot of where these buttons are?
I have attached what I'm seeing.
(Also Abe's recommendation, means you have to manually set the categories again for each campaign, which we'd like to avoid doing).
Thanks,
Reena.

Abe,
Thank you for the reply.
So to save time for anyone else that needs to copy keywords between Campaigns, the short answer is:
There is no internal feature for this. You need to export your keywords then import back into a different campaign.

Hello Reena,
Happy Monday! This is Abe from the SEOmoz Help Team. While there are several ways to copy and paste the keywords over, I will give you my recommendation.
1- Open the keyword rankings page with all of your keywords that you would like to copy.
2-Click on Add/Manage keywords button
3-Drag over all of them and right click->copy
4- Paste the keywords stacked on top of each other in an excel sheet (repeat for each page of keywords)
5- Copy the entire column in excel with every keyword
6- Open new campaign that you want these keywords in
7-Go to Rankings and then Click Add/Manage Keywords button
8-Paste the keywords all at once into the Add Keywords to Your Campaign box
This will do it
Let me know if you need anything else. I hope this helps!

Seems like this should be obvious... but it eludes me.
Please specifically tell me where to find these "copy to" and "edit" buttons.
Kind of strange that several people keep asking the same simple question.
How do we copy keywords between campaigns?
Thanks.

Hi Webdeal,
Thanks for your response. Although, I can't find the 'edit' button. Could you let me know which page this is on?
Thanks,
Reena.

I'm looking for this functionality as well, but I don't see the "copy to...." function or "Edit" button anywhere. Where exactly can I find those?
Thanks
-
Hi Reena,
there is an option there "copy to..." when you click "Edit" button
Select all you keywords first, click Edit" button, click on "copy to..."
and select where do you want to copy themCheers

Whether this is a good informational keyword (for ads)
Hello, Learning about informational keywords. Is Nikola Tesla (300K-1M) a good informational keyword considering I'd only be (at the highest) on the 2nd page? There's no ads and I'm competing against big players, but the 2nd page has opportunities for ranking. I've been studying this guy a long time. Don't know if it's will bring ad revenue. What about chemtrails (118k-300k)

Cities in Keywords Ranking Reports
So I've been in the habit of creating a master list of keywords concatenated with the city name so I can track my local rankings versus competitors. 1. Is this the correct thing to do to help hone in on who competitive my sites are ranking in the local market? 2. If so, by doing this the On Page reports seem to be totally screwed, because the searches I'm tracking (with city) vs the keywords I want to analyse for on-page ranking (without city), are different. What is the solution?

On-Page Optimization Report: How Are Keywords Chosen?
Apologies if this has already been covered 100 times! Last month I set up a new campaign, and so far the On-Page Optimization tool has only crawled and graded three of my pages so far. I assume it takes time for more pages to be covered? But, here's my real question: I see that the tool is giving my pages grades based on certain keywords, but the tool itself seems to be deciding which keyword to use in grading each page. To use a made-up example, my example has a page about leather gloves, a page about wool mittens, and a page about cotton mittens. The last one is supposed to be optimized for the keyword "cotton mittens," but the tool is grading it based on how well it's optimized for "wool mittens." I can go into the drop-down at the top of the page and change the keyword that the page is graded on, and that gives me a new grade, but only for that instance. The next week, the tool is back to giving the page an F for "wool mittens." Is that because the tool decides that "wool mittens" is the keyword for which the page has the best chance of ranking, no matter what my intentions are? is there any way to permanently tell the tool that I want the page to target "wool mittens" as its main keyword? Thanks in advance for your help!

Tracking Keyword Positions
Hello! I've been working with the various Google Docs Spreadsheets out there taking advantage of web scraping using xml and the seomoz api. I want to be able to track keyword rank by week, I've been playing around but can't seem to get it nailed on, I'm looking to put keyword in column 1, domain in col 2 and keyword rank on google uk in col 3. Anybody done/seen anything like this in a G spreadsheet? Cheers Jamie

A tool for seeing all the keywords a website ranks for
As title, is there a tool out there that will allow you to see all the keywords a website ranks for in the first few pages of a particlur search engine? I would be particularly interested for keywords in the first 10 pages of Google. Thanks
