Dofollow 2 nofollow
-
hi everyone,
if i have a dofollow link pointing at me from website A
and also i have a nofollow link pointing from my website to website A
do they cancel each other out?
or is it only if i have dofollow to dofollow?
-
Also, a link is still a link. Even if it's a no follow link on an external website, it can still help your website from a user experience. If website B has a lot of dedicated visitors and traffic, they could follow your link back to your website and become fans of yours. Just something else to keep in mind.
-
The links are treated as separate, so they won't cancel each other out and the link from website A to you will pass link juice. Even if you have a reciprocal link that is dofollow and they have one pointing to you that is dofollow they won't cancel each other out and link juice will be passed.
A few reciprocal links in the right circumstances are fine, it is only when a large proportion of your link profile is reciprocal that you are likely to get a penalty for attempted manipulation of Google's rankings.
Hope this helps...

How to Rank Page 2 to Page 1
We have a blog post about the fitness equipment names https://www.fitness-china.com/gym-equipment-names-pictures-prices The content of our article is very helpful and comprehensive. However, the current search for fitness equipment names only appears in the first place on the second page of GOOGLE Natural Search Results. One page. How can we improve our ranking? What we hope is SEO white hat practice

Web 2.0 Backlinks
Hi Normal Web 2.0 websites like Wordpress.com, blogger.com have very High DA and PA. But when we create a subdomain, DA and PA falls to 1 as Google treats subdomain as new websites. Does it make any sense then to get backlinks from web 2.0 websites? will it help in Google rankings?

Nofollow links with high spam score
Hi All, Is it worth setting co-operation with website that has incoming links with spam score 96% despite the fact they're mostly nofollow? From my understanding there's still connection set between websites bit no negative impact on my SEO profile. Am I right? Thanks for all opinions.

Reciprocal links now cancel out any benefit say Google. But what about if one of them is nofollow?
As a web agency we have some of our client sites linking back to us from their footer to show who built the site as is common practice in our industry. This seems to work fine for us generating both referral traffic and we think some help with rankings. Google recently said that reciprocal links do cancel each other out of any benefit which gives us a dilemma for when we want to link to a website as a case study on our own website. Normally we use nofollow on the link but is that enough? I'd rather have the inbound link benefit than provide a link to the website!

NoFollow & Directory Scraper Backlinks
I was wondering how important it was to remove/disavow: NoFollow backlinks - many ("buy viagra" etc). Directory backlinks - many questionable/generic directories. Obviously the focus is the equity passing links but both of the above constitute a significant proportion of backlinks to the site - I've seen that "scrapers" are seen as natural and obviously NoFollow do not pass link juice - but does the sheer number have a bearing and therefore make them equally important to address? Thanks in advance for your responses. Regards

Disavow & nofollow from same IP
I'm a web developer, and as such, we run a bank of half a dozen dedicated servers. I have 2 questions with regards to nofollow links There's half a dozen sites linking back to us from the same bank of servers (across 3 different IP's but all in the same facility) because we have donated our web design services and we're a sponsor. It's not a paid link, it's a sponsorship. Should I still nofollow the link? I run a couple of personal blogs on the same bank of servers. There's an absolute tonne of original content and a handful of links back to my shop. Because I own both sites, should I nofollow these links as well? I am doing a massive cleanup before the Penguin pops his head out again.

What's the difference between follow and nofollow links?
I understand this may be a really dumb question and from my understanding there is a piece of code in some url's that tell search engines not to follow that link. I am interested in finding out what the purpose of nofollow links are and how they apply to search rankings. Thanks for the help
