List of Google recognised abbreviations?
-
Does anyone know of a list/resource of abbreviations recognised by Google?
For example does Google recognise w/ as with?

Indeed that is another question.
I suppose it might if you use it as a second instance of describing 'x with y' in a page's text although the word 'with' is so generic in many instances that I'm not sure it would make a huge difference... I could be wrong though!

Google bolds 'with' when you search for w/ so it does recognise it but does w/ help you rank for a term with 'with' in is the bigger question.

That could be an interesting list!
No idea if one exists or not (could be a whole phd of what/why google recognises certain abbreviations in there!), but a quick unscientific test searching for 'fish w/ rice' and 'fish w rice' (I guess I am hungry), shows the serps returned highlighting the word 'with' as well as the words 'fish' and 'rice'.

Solved Recommended title length for Google search results
I read the recommended title length is 50-60 characters depending on alphabets, etc,.

Anyways, my question is, is there any harm of having longer title?
If all my important keywords are within the 50-60 characters that will show up on search results, I can still make the title longer, it's just that those keywords outside won't have any effect on search results?0 -
Google index new data from my website page
Hi All, We have pages which are created few weeks before hand for Movie reviews in those pages we add value with adding the Movie cast and crew info and what ever info possible before the movie releases. The the movie releases we watch the movies and write reviews which is 500+ words. Now the issue is the pages are indexed a week before... How can i have these review pages scanned immediately when i have the complete review as the review content is not indexed for 3 to 5 days and the first day or 2 is when its important for the reviews to be seen in Google. Streaming Google Places Reviews
Google no longer lets users pull an iframe of places reviews. I can't find a plugin for wordpress that will do this either. Any suggestions on how to show Google places reviews on your website? Or... should we blow it off and just go with yelp / City Search reviews?

Is Google Places appropriate for an ecommerce site and blogs
I'm working with a client that has an ecommerce site. He has e physical addresses where they work, however, neither would want customers to go to their office. Is it inappropriate to create a Google Places listing in this situation? I'm working with another client who runs a blog for his PR agency. Is it OK to create a Google Places listing for a blog? He would welcome people to visit his agency.
