Keyword report
-
What's the purpose of the keyword difficulty report? I've typed in some of my keywords and discoverd their "highly competetive." As if I didn't already know this.
The question is, what do I do about it?
-
I'm no SEO guru, but when I started out I found keyword difficulty tools quite useful.
I think if you're a newish/low-authority site, it's pointless and a waste of resources trying immediately to compete for, say "real estate" because bigger, better sites are way ahead of you.
I got around the problem by targeting long-tail keywords "eg, real estate in Chatanooga". Less competition, easier to rank for and, because it's a more focused keyword than merely "real estate", greater clickthrough and ROI.

How to Combine the Moz Keyword Difficulty Tool with Google Keyword Planner for LOCAL (city/town) Results
Hi there, I wish that Moz would show local (city/town) results in their Keyword Difficulty Tool. But they don't, so here's my question: I'm trying to rank for keywords "interior design" in a local geographic area in the US. When using Google KWP, I'm selecting all the towns I want to rank in, and searching against the keywords INTERIOR DESIGN. The search volume appears to be approx. 370 a month. What I'm not sure about is whether I should instead (or in addition to), be searching for INTERIOR DESIGN (CITY), and leaving the geographic selection as US. What is most accurate? OR...should I search for INTERIOR DESIGN (CITY) in Moz's Keyword tool? How do you guys do it?

Pro Dashboard Rankings Report not accurate for the UK?
We rank in the top 5 consistently for our keywords on www.google.co.uk However, the ranking report (set to Google UK) shows that we don't appear in the top 50. When looking in more detail at the keyword in question, it shows the top ranking sites to be all US sites with .com domains that don't rank at all on google.co.uk. Can anyone shed some light on this or tell me if there is any way of getting accurate ranking reports via SEOmoz tools for UK sites, so I don't have to do it manually? Thanks in advance

Tool which shows site ranking for a given keyword
Hi all. I have a client with a specific request and wanted to ask if there is a reliable tool which allows a user to enter a given site and keyword, and it will return the site's ranking for that keyword. More specifically: Needs to work for Google, Yahoo and Bing Needs to work for various countries such as Google.ca, Google.it, etc. Needs to show at least the top ?10k rankings, not just the top 50 The last requirement is the challenge. I clearly recognize anything past the top 50 or so ranks is really off the map, but the client would like to view his current standings.
