Post Title - Use the blog's name or not?

In the tile of my post, shoudl I used my blog's name in it at the end or emit the blog name.
EX: title of post with keywords | name of blog
OR
EX: title of post with keywords
The site's name is 3 words long, so I'm worrying that those extra words are diluting the keywords in the post's name that I'm trying to target.

Right, the most important keywords are the first one's on the left. If you feel it best to add a title, do it, but it will be slightly better Search Eninge Ranking wise to omit the title.

Name of blog is not as important as the title as SEs look from left to right regarding importance. Put name at the end IF need be. I would tend to omit the name of the site on blogs, unless the site is all a blog with no other content.

The site's name is Small Business Doer, and I'm targeting small businesses, so in a way yes.
That's a good point about wht makes someone click on a link, and a good brand name can help is what you're suggesting, as it seems more legit.
What I'm specifically wondering, is how big of an impact will a title with say a phrase comprised of 3 keywords be vs. that same phrase with the site titel appended to the end (which is another three keywords).
Will it make much of a difference in the search rankings by removing the site name from the end?

Are there any useful keywords in your site's name? If so then definitely keep it in.
It's important to keep post titles eye-catching, which usually means short with a simple message or idea, which may leave space for your brand. Personally if I can see the brand in the title as it displays on the SERP then I'm probably more likely to click on it.
Oh and Yoast's Wordpress SEO plugin is all you need for WP...

Thanks for the quick response. It's funny because I just disabled the All in one SEO Plugin default that appends my site title to the end of my posts.
So, you're saying that the branding outweighs the extra three words on a post?

Personally, I like to fit in the site name or business name whenever I can. What I recommend doing is disabling any kind of auto-tagging for the site name and enter it in manually only when it fits and if it's relevant.
For example, All in One SEO Plugin for Wordpress by default appends your site title to the end of all title tags, no matter what. I disable this and do it manually so I know I have 100% control over my title tags.
It helps for branding purposes!

City Name in URL structure
I have a client whose site was built when they only served one market, and they now have that city in the majority of their URLs. I'm suggesting we redo the URL structure to remove this location from the main URLs (think homepage, about, etc.) since they have now expanded to three markets. They are seeing a lot of great organic traffic in that original market but are struggling in the new ones they've added so I'm helping to optimize their site. Image naming best practices?
While I have found many good sources of information for naming images for SEO purposes, I'm having trouble finding an up-to-date, exhaustive and authoritative source for image names, alt tags, etc. For instance... Max characters for image name? Max hyphens? How descriptive should you be? "ice-cream-flavors-icon_._jpg" or "ice-cream-flavors.jpg" or simply "ice-cream.jpg" How similar should the image name, alt text and page title be? At what point are you overusing a keyword? Rules to follow? So much more, but you get the idea! Anyone have a good reference or an answer to all things related to images and SEO? Thanks!

Meta Title Pipes and Spacing
I've been doing optimization on a clients website and want to make sure I'm maximizing my characters. Does anyone have any feedback on the spacing in between the pipes ( | ) ? IE: Internet Marketing Company | Denver SEO | Brand Name Do the spaces before and after the pipes play a role in whether the search engines can distinguish the keyword or is it all considered one word if there is no spaces such as: IE: Internet Marketing Company|Denver SEO|Brand Name Any information will be super helpful. Duplicate Content for Men's and Women's Version of Site
So, we're a service where you can book different hairdressing services from a number of different salons (site being worked on). We're doing both a male and female version of the site on the same domain which users are can select between on the homepage. The differences are largely cosmetic (allowing the designers to be more creative and have a bit of fun and to also have dedicated male grooming landing pages), but I was wondering about duplicate pages. While most of the pages on each version of the site will be unique (i.e. [male service] in [location] vs [female service] in [location] with the female taking precedent when there are duplicates), what should we do about the likes of the "About" page? Pages like this would both be unique in wording but essentially offer the same information and does it make sense to to index two different "About" pages, even if the titles vary? My question is whether, for these duplicate pages, you would set the more popular one as the preferred version canonically, leave them both to be indexed or noindex the lesser version entirely? Can I use Same Keyword for Multi pages Title Tags?
Hello All, I am working on client website and currently they are targeting One Keywords for multi pages. As I have search with Allintitle: Search query and Google display around 37 pages of website which carry same keyword in "Title Tags". I have told to client to change the "Title Tags" but they want that keyword for all relevant pages. So I want to know is that harm in Search Engine Ranking? Note: They have not done the link building activities for multi pages with same Keyword, they are using only in "Title Tags" only

I've recently discovered large blocks of content on a competitors site that has been copy and pasted from a client's site. From what I know, this will only hurt the competitor and not my client since my guy was the original. Is this true? Is there any risk to my client? Should we take action? Dino

Hyphens in Domain Name
I have a client who is a business broker. I have just begun working with them, and they are trying to determine the best domain name to use - they have several. business-broker-alabama.com vs businessbrokeralabama.com Which one of these has more value? I know that search engines have somewhat devalued keywords. The first one probably has a little more SEO value, but is going to be a drag in terms of marketing -- saying "business hyphen broker hyphen alabama" is going to get old for them. Thanks!
