My website is hosted on wordpress.com and I just do not understand how do i fix these errors . To add on, last week the errors were lesser by 150 !!
How do I get these issues fixed ? Please assist !!!

Thanks for the follow up! It's a little tough to say without more info - but I'll assume some of your duplicate titles are coming from paginated pages: /page/2/ ... /pages/3 etc
If this is the case, see if they allow you to add the page number to the title tags of archives
For example - page one might be "A Really Awesome Category Archive Page 1 - Dan's Blog"
Page two would be - "A Really Awesome Category Archive Page 2 - Dan's Blog" etc..

Hei Dan,
Thanks for taking the initiative.
I just removed few categories i felt were useless and also deleted the tag widget from the blog !! since then I am having increased number of 404 errors !! it was showing on moz dashboard that I had too many links ..hence i thought its a good idea to get rid of the tag widget and the categories with very less posts !! I normally have posts under several categories . Hence I removed the ones with very less posts !! That was it, I asked the bull, myself to hit me hard !!
I dont know how to work things out now !! moreover,wordpress.com does not allow any error fix unless their package of $ 500 a month is bought !!
I have left the errors untouched waiting for answers !!
Regards,

Hey There!
Let me ask - what types of pages are the duplicates showing up for? In many cases, it's just subpages ie: /page/2 etc - and these aren't as problematic.
Let me know the types of pages and I'll see if I can help from there
Thanks!

Ah - whoops. The more you learn, eh? I'd be interested in the differences between how the two function.

The OP is on wordpress.com, not self-hosted wordpress, so that may not be an option. I'm asking another associate to come in and add some comments to this post.

As a first port of all, I'd install Yoast for wordpress. It's a very powerful plugin that allows for a great deal of control and can sort duplicate content issues by automatically adding in rel="canonical" tags. There's a great a webinar here http://www.seomoz.org/webinars/advanced-wordpress-seo on seomoz.which also provides a lot of great advice for dealing with archives.
We had too many duplicate titles also, which were created when our pictures were links to themselves - new page but with same title. As a temporary measure, I set up redirects on these back to the posts' page but will go and remove these links later.
I hope this was helpful, if I got it wrong, however, I'm happy to learn!

Have you tried getting some of SEO applications that WordPress offers? They have free packages that allow you to enter meta data such as the title tag to your webpage. What kind of website do you have? I work in real estate and I found out that some of our duplicate content came from our web developer not optimizing the web submission pages for visitors interested in properties.

Trying to mark as fixed multiple errors on webmaster tools
We have 44,249 errors and I have set up for most of the URLs a 301 redirect. I know exactly which links are correctly redirected my problem is I don't want to mark as fixed each one individually. Is there a way to upload a URL list to webmaster tools and it automatically marks as fixed based on the list.

Moving from www.domain.com/nameofblog to www.domain.com/blog
Describe your question in detail. The more information you give, the better! It helps give context for a great answer I have had my blog located at www.legacytravel.com/ramblings for a while. I now believe that, from an SEO perspective, it would be preferable to move it to www.legacytravel.com/blog. So, I want to be able to not lose any links (few though they may be) with the move. I believe I would need to do a 301 redirect in the htaccess file of www.legacytravel.com that will tell anyone who comes knocking on the door of www.legacytravel.com/ramblings/blah blah blah that now what they want is at www.legacytravel.com/blog/blah blah blah Is that correct? What would the entry look like in the htaccess? Thank you in advance.

Site Migration Questions
Hello everyone, We are in the process of going from a .net to a .com and we have also done a complete site redesign as well as refreshed all of our content. I know it is generally ideal to not do all of this at once but I have no control over that part. I have a few questions and would like any input on avoiding losing rankings and traffic. One of my first concerns is that we have done away with some of our higher ranking pages and combined them into one parallax scrolling page. Basically, instead of having a product page for each product they are now all on one page. This of course has made some difficulty because search terms we were using for the individual pages no longer apply. My next concern is that we are adding keywords to the ends of our urls in attempt to raise rankings. So an example: website.com/product/product-name/keywords-for-product if a customer deletes keywords-for-product they end up being re-directed back to the page again. Since the keywords cannot be removed is a redirect the best way to handle this? Would a canonical tag be better? I'm trying to avoid duplicate content since my request to remove the keywords in urls was denied. Also when a customer deletes everything but website.com/product/ it goes to the home page and the url turns to website.com/product/#. Will those pages with # at the end be indexed separately or does google ignore that? Lastly, how can I determine what kind of loss in traffic we are looking at upon launch? I know some is to be expected but I want to avoid it as much as I can so any advice for this migration would be greatly appreciated.

How do I stop www.mysite.com/ showing as a duplicate of www.mysite.com
I have run the campaigns software over a site and it is showing that www.mysite.com/ is a duplicate of www.mysite.com, how do I correct this? Is it a genuine duplicate page? My first thought was to use rel canonical but there is no page called / to put it on. Your suggestions welcomed Sean

406 errors
Just started seeing 406 errors on our last crawl (all jpg related). Seomoz found 670 of these on my site when there were 0 before. I have checked the MIME and everything seems to be in the right order. So could it be that Seomoz-crawler is showing errors that aren't really errors?

Young site trying hard, but banging head against the wall -- Site Review
Hi All New to PRO but we're seriously committed to getting this working. And firstly thank you to anyone who offers any useful thoughts and insights. We've launched a new site, unfortunately late to the market for the season and are really struggling to get search engine recognition. Site: http://www.ignitehats.co.uk/ We're continuously adding new content, slowly gathering more links and working hard to promote socially. But even on our clearest search terms like "Ignite hats" we're down on page 4. Both GWT and the Seomoz tools highlight no big problems (a few titles that are too long) but otherwise nothing. Maybe wrongly we requested that the Google spam team review our site incase it was being penalised, but got a template response saying the site was not in their spam system (phew, there wasn't a reason it should be we believe). We're wondering if this is just that our site is just too young? It's been live for 6 weeks. But worry maybe this is not the case. We've had success with another site we run much sooner than this. Any help or pointers would be really appreciated. Similar stories and what others have done, at least to give us some confidence to carry on would be great. Thanks for reading.

The course of action to move my macro site to some mini sites- justin if you can help
We have a site that we want to break up into mini sites but keep the old site for the major brands. Empirecovers.com is the major and we want to break it off into Empire Truck Covers and Empire Boat covers. What I am thinking of doing is linking from the home to Empiretruckcovers.com instead of a mini page on the site and 301 redirect the mini page to empiretruckcovers.com. Than (there wont be duplicate content) making a small page for truck covers on empire just so people do not get confused. Is this the best way to go or what do you suggest? We are doing this because I feel there is seo value in having mini sites and also the user experience will be cleaner and people will trust it a lot more than inside a big site. The other problem is I have some great rankings on the pages so I want to do it so there is as little damage as possible. I guess once I start I will do all the free directories, yahoo directory and try to get links as fast as I can. Any suggestions would be great. I am going to do a/b testing to see if my adwords convert better on mini site or on the big site for certain keywords too
