Submitting Same Press Releases to Different Sites
-
Hi,
Is it a good idea to submit the same press release to many different press release web sites? if yes, how many a day?I haven't try this yet since i always use paid press releases submission
Like: Prweb.com and Prlog.org (Paid)
But this time i want to try 50 top free PR websites.
so i wandering if its good thing to do!
Thank You!

For easy niches? Yeah you could do it and it could get you to rank. For harder niches, I'd go with new content and stick with the big PR sites only. The free PR sites usually just scrape it off them anyways. Either that or they are just article directories dress up as "press release" sites.
BTW, Prlog ranks pretty well on it's own, it'll probably beat prweb in terms of referral traffic to you.

Short answer is no.
You should distribute a press release only when you really have to say something important. Moreover, you will have a better chance when your content is customized.
Also, I don't think that submitting it to many PR sites is a good idea. You can choose one of the top press release distribution sites, for example PRWeb, PRnewswire and submit your PR no more than once in a month.
And of course, there is a great blog post: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/are-you-wasting-budget-with-online-press-release-distribution-14595

Press release sites don't pass a lot of link value, so don't spend too many resources on them. There probably are not 50 PR sites worth submitting to.
If you're simply trying to get link value from the press releases, I would concentrate on the highest domain authority ones, and write a unique release for each so that you have the best chance of the release being indexed and passing you link value.
Of course, the most effective use of press releases is to get actual press coverage from the news media, in which case contacting reporters directly, responding to requests on HARO, and sending in write-ups to newspaper tip lines will often work better than submitting an online press release.

301 redirect from a de-indexed site
Is link juice passed from a website that has been intentionally de-indexed by webmaster? The scenario is I had 2 websites with similar content. I decided to get rid of one by de-indexing. I also did a 301redirect from my de-indexed site. Not the whole domain but just the 2 URL's which I believe could pass on link juice. In this case how long the link juice would flow via 301 redirect?

Migrating blog posts to new site
I'm in the process of setting up a new site for a client, moving them over to WordPress from Joomla. They've got 50ish blog posts on their old site, but none of them have accumulated any external links. Is it worth it to copy them over to the new site for the sake of retaining all that content, or better just to start from scratch?

Network of sites
Hi guys, Wanted to get your opinion. Ran a backlink profile of a client and discovered there is a number of sites that linked to the main site. The number of sites are owned by the client and seems to be built on the purpose of just backlinking, there is footer links (exact match keyword links) The website aren't linked together in analytics or webmasters but shows up in whois under the same company. I think the best bet is get all those links removed from footer and let the domains expire once it finishes - seems to serve no purpose. But the bigger question is what are good reasons I can feed back to the client that it's has a negative affect?
