SEOMOZ Support: Domain Name Change in SEOMOZ
-
My client is changing their domain name. They are redirecting (301) all of their URLs to the new domain. Do I need to do anything in SEOMOZ to preserve the campaign?
-
Thanks Paul, I appreciate you taking the time to answer this.

This was covered in a recent question, DynoSaur. If you read the responses, you'll note that there's no way to effectively use the existing campaign once the domain has changed. Even with the 301 redirects, most of the campaign functions will no longer work.
You'll need to create a new campaign for the new domain. (You can copy-paste across your keywords etc.) Once the new campaign is live, you can archive (NOT delete) the original campaign so it's historical data can still be referenced.
You'll want to get the new campaign set up as soon as possible so that you don't miss any data. (If you have already used up your campaign slots, one will be freed up when you archive the existing campaign.)
This certainly isn't a good way for the tool to handle this kind of situation. There is already a Feature Request in place asking for the ability to change domains in a campaign. It was last updated at the end of last year saying it was a planned feature but would be at least several months before it would be implemented. Would be worth adding your vote to the request to let them know this is an issue for you too.
Not the answer you were hoping for, I'm sure, but hop this helps?

Why is my domain not being crawled anymore?
I just noticed that right around 12/1/2012, SEOMoz stopped crawling all but two pages out of the 400 or so on my website at www.TrustworthyCare.com . I speculate that this is probably due to some dumb mistake I made at that time, but I can't for the life of me figure out what that mistake was. Before that, the weekly crawls included all 400 or so pages. I wonder whether it's something that changed in our .htaccess file. Here's how that file looks now; can anyone see what is wrong there, or perhaps offer other suggestions if it doesn't look like anything is wrong in it? Thanks! PPS - I found and read this page, but I've pretty much tried the things described there (I think): SEOMoz reports and 404 errors
My SEOMoz report shows a 404 error, found today for this url: http://globalheavyhaul.com/google.com i do not have this anchor text anywhere on my website. How did Roger figure out that somebody looked for that page? Do I need to worry about 404 errors that are the result of user mistakes, instead of actual bad links?

SEOMoz Q&A having some issues?
Apologies if this has been asked. I was browsing Q&A and got a Ruby error page, reloaded and everything was fine. However a bunch of the topics are kind of messed up, and it looks like a chunk of them are missing now. For example my 'questions I've answered' section of My Q&A only has the newest question and the oldest question, and when I sort the SEOMoz Tools category by newest I get one recent post and then the next one is from November of last year. You guys having database problems?

SEOmoz Toolbar - Am I the only one who figured this out?
I have been using the SEOmoz toolbar for a while. In the course of a day, and with so many projects going on I end up having about 15-20 tabs in Firefox open at once. Because of the toolbar, my browsing session slows to a crawl and I hate to disable the toolbar because then I have to shut down the 10 projects I am working on. I usually close down my browser when I can't take it anymore and it feels like I am browsing on my 1990's palm device. What I decided to do is install the toolbar on Google Chrome. I don't use this browser very often so now whenever I need to check out a website, I just use Chrome instead of Firefox. Maybe there is a way to turn off the toolbar that I don't know about. Any other toolbar tips?
