What is the best/your favorite management software?
-
Currently my company uses basecamp with a splash of google docs a little bit of Paymo, and Raventools for project management. (We use other tools like SEOmoz, but not so much for management as SEO tasks)
The ideal features we are looking for are:
Collaborative document editing and sharing(Google Docs)
Task lists and project organization (basecamphq)
Time Tracking on a per task basis (Paymo)
(SEO tracking software is great too, but it doesn't have to be integrated with the project management directly. Currently using Raventools and SEOMoz along with some smaller tools.)
The project management side can be completely separate from the SEO tool side, but it would be great if there was one simple interface that all of this could be done from.
Any suggestions? Are there features I'm missing in my current software that could bring them up to this level?
-
We found 5pm a bit unfriendly to use, ended up with cohuman which is much easier and integrates with gdocs. It isn't as good as 5pm at the high level for project overview. None of the team likes base camp though we have to use it for one of our clients.

We're currently using 5pm for project management. I've used basecamp as well, and think 5pm is a bit more streamlined. Just an opinion, though.

Best Keyword Strategy for Lower-Authority-Ranked Domain
Hi, What should a lower-authority-ranked blog (DA - 21) who is trying to increase general traffic focus on above all when selecting keywords: difficulty, monthly volume, opportunity, or priority? I know that all are important factors to consider, but I fear that without an already consistent following our new content will just get hidden behind more established domains if we select too difficult of keywords. I'd love to hear from someone who's built up a blog audience as to what strategy they used here. Thanks!

Before Migration/after(www/non-www/http/https) - Good concentration needed :p
Hi all, Im confusing between those www's and http's. If i go to searchbar (chrome) and ENTER: www.mywebsite.nl, It changes to https://www.mywebsite.nl
Moz Pro | | Dreamgame2016
( with www, and https:// not used) / Its OK next: typing in searchbar and enter: mywebsite.nl, It changes to https://mywebsite.nl (without www and https:// ) / OK Next: www.mywebsite.nl, it stay the same, just https:// added: https://mywebsite.nl (used with https://) / OK Now its comes: If I do it again without http**(s)://mywebsite.nl, **It changes to https://www.mywebsite.nl/?SID=bccbuhvi1cf53r188bpvskn597 / NOT OK 😛 In google search console (webmastertool) I gave property for the https://mywebsite.nl and https://www.mywebsite.nl Each of the website, Im seeying data clicks/ volume keywords etc, so both of them functionating By search console: https://www.mywebsite.nl (With www) I see crawlfaults/errors: 1633 (the url has not linked existing page) I see again: "?SID=..." after urls, example: mywebsite.nl/blabla/?SID=m07ev6lliefbf0tfhe4kf0ih54 By search console - other website: https://mywebsite.nl **(none-www) **you see two crawlfaults/errors! Bad influance for my SEO, because of no existed pages, bad urls and dubble content. Bye bye keywords! | 3 | Crawl Attempt Error |
| 1 | Title Missing or Empty | Medium priority: | 9618 | Temporary Redirect |
| 2688 | Duplicate Page Title |
| 13 | Title Element is Too Long |
| 1 | Missing Meta Description Tag | After seeying this results what is the best option (no losing link-juice)? redirect 301? www to none-www (https://) ? Need advise/strategy for cleaning up backlinks to my site
I recently redesigned my website (studio35design.com), and with that, I'm finally paying attention to SEO. I used a few different tools to find the amount of backlinking domains I've built up through the 7 or so years. The numbers are the following: 52 Total Backlinking Domains (800+ links):
Moz Pro | | rubennunez
• 17 of those are from blog commenting - they are pretty much all NF
• 20 of those are from sitewide footer credits on websites I've built. They are all old, as I stopped adding sitewide links to my client sites over a year ago.
• 7 of those are from spam. My site was hacked last year which contributed to alot of it. I've since then completely scrapped my old site and built this one on webflow (Not self-hosted like my old WP site).
• The other 10 or so are from forums, and the odd photo credit. As you can tell, almost none of these backlinks links are really any good. I'm surprised that my DA is 27 really. So moving forward, I need to know the best strategy dealing with these "bad" links. For the spam, I'm going to disavow in google webmasters. As for the rest, here are my questions... QUESTION 1:
As for the sitewide links, would the best thing be to remove the link altogether from the footer of each one of those sites? Some I can't because they are really old, and I don't have access to them (I'll probably disavow), but the rest I can still go in and update. QUESTION 2:
Will removing a ton of links at once hurt my DA and my google ranking? I can probably eliminate 500-600 links within a few days just by removing the sitewide links. How quickly can I expect those links to drop off? A few months? QUESTIONS 3:
Should I disavow blog commenting links even though they are NF? Does it matter at all? QUESTION 4:
I noticed 5 or so of the domains I have links one aren't working domains anymore. How quickly can I expect those links to drop off? Thanks in advance for your help.0 -
Is www.domain.com/page the same url as www.domain.com/page/ for Google? (extra slash at end of url)
Dear all, in open site explorer there is a difference the url's 'www.domain.com/page' and 'www.domain.com/page/' (extra slash at end). There can be different values in pageauthority etc. in the open site explorer tool, but is this also the case for Google? Thanks for replying, Regards, Ben

Campaign Manager Keyword Rankings all messed up???
My campaign in SEO Moz Campaign Manager has just ran it's weekly crawl, and all my keyword rankings are messed up. 18 keywords have apparently dropped by massive amounts, but when I do a physical search, they haven't moved. Also Keyword Tracker agrees with the physical search, so why is the Campaign Manager showing the wrong rankings all of a sudden??

Idea for the Best Method of getting REAL Keyword Search Data
I've been using googles keyword tools to get keyword search data, but I'm pretty sceptical of some of the results it throws out on number of searches. On a number of keywords - particularly when you get to longtail, I've seen results which cannot possibly be right. So - I am trying to find out a way of getting REAL data I can trust. Here are my thoughts on a possible method of getting this key data:
Moz Pro | | James77
1/. Firstly I am taking on the assumption that the adwords campaign monitoring statistics are more reliable and accurate than the keyword research tools - correct me if I am wrong! 2/. Then take a load of keywords you wish to monitor and create didfferent ads for them based of EXACT match. 3/. Make sure non of your adverts conflict with each other, so you may have to turn off any other campaigns you have running. 4/. Put you bids and available spend as high as possible, so that ideally you will your ads will always be shown for every search match, and ideally always come in No1 spot on the ads. IE your aim is to create a neutral environment where your ads are shown for every search match and appear in the exact same position for each search match. Run the campaign for a period of time long enough to be confident that you have enough search data. From this you should have the vital data on keyword searches done on your exact match keywords. 5/. Repeat the test, but this time use phrase matches and again make sure there are no conflicts. 6/. Repeat again with broad match - this would require very careful implimentation not to have any conflicts and you would likely need to make heavy use of the "Not Include" keywords. What are your thoughts on the above process? - Any flaws, or other better solutions? Obviously one key thing with doing this is you need to have to be prepared to have a decent budget to get this data - but it won't be wasted as you will also be getting the adwords traffic. Thanks0 -
Mozbar export of serp overlay as csv not opening on Mac OS w/FF.

However, when downloading the overlay data to csv on my Mac OS in FF, i get a super long file name & then the file won't open? Shows -5000 error? Both in Excel and Open Office. Any ideas? Both new version of Excel & Mozbar.
