When to post blogs?
-
If I was to put 2 blog posts on my site a month, does it matter if I post them on the site at the same time, or is their benefits in posting them a week apart?
Thanks!

Andrew,
How long have you used hittail.com?
-
I agree w/ @wesleysmits, but there's another interesting idea. So:
- Post every 2 weeks (as suggested by @wesleysmits)
- Subscribe to something like hittail.com ($10/mo), and write blog articles for a all the long tail keywords it suggests (YMMV). The way it works is HitTail will find a bunch of long-tail keywords e.g. "How do I replace my Samsung Galaxy battery?" users used to find your site. It'll suggest some blog titles that you write, and you just crank those out. These articles will tend to hit good ranks on these specific keywords, and bring in trickles. Build enough trickles into your site, you get a stream.

It would be better to post on a regular schedule. (In your given example that would be every two weeks).
This is for a variety of reasons.
1. The search engines will see that you have a fresh batch of content every now and then.
2. Users will see that there is a blog post every two weeks and if they think that your blog is interesting enough to follow they will visit you every two weeks to read the new post.Hope i answered your question

I personally prefer spacing them out in somewhat of a recognizable pattern in an effort to develop readership.
Whatever you do though, don't just pump out a new article because you have only done one so far this month and you think you need two. Make sure the quality of the content is top-notch first and foremost. Think to yourself, "if I were my target reader/viewer, would I find this interesting? Would I want to share it with my friends?" If the answer is ever no then trash it and move on!
Hope this helps..

How Good or Bad is having a blog feed(s) on the homepage?
Hello everyone, I was wondering if I can get some different opinion about having a blog feed on the homepage. Image, title, excerpt I have several feeds on mine which I do not believe it hurts and has helped my rankings but I wanted some superior SEO brains to weigh in. https://www.brightvessel.com Is it good for SEO? When would it be bad? How many posts would be considered too much? On my blog, have the most recent posts which have some of the same feeds. Which is making me question the duplicated content. https://www.brightvessel.com/blog/ Thanks! Judd

Google search returns blog homepage, but not article
When I do a google search for a specific article on our blog the search results only return the blog homepage with the article title shown in the meta description, but never the actual article page. I've tried to refine my search by using site: and quotation marks around the article title (e.g site:www.example.com "article title") but still only get the homepage. Our blog is showing up so I assume it's not an indexing issue, but not sure how to get the article pages to show on serps. Any ideas? Thanks!

Update old article or publish new content and redirect old post?
Hi all, I'm targetting a keyword and we used to rank quite good for it. Last couple of months traffic of that keyword (and variations) is going down a bit. I wrote an extensive new post on the same topic, much more in dept and from 600 to 1800 words covering the same topic. Is it better to update the old article and mention that it's updated recently, or publish a new post and redirect the old post to the new post?

SEO for page that is made up of multiple posts
When a page is made up of lots of individual wordpress posts, how should it be handled from an SEO perspective? Should the individual posts be hidden from the search engines and only the page url which contains all the posts collectivity be indexed? Page in question below: http://teammateworld.com/case-studies/ Thanks in advance.

Does my actual blog post title have any effect once I create a title tag for SEO purposes?
A little confused about this. Reason I ask is that using my actual title for my title tag sometimes isn't the best for getting ranked, so the title and title tag are sometimes not the same.

Is Google Places appropriate for an ecommerce site and blogs
I'm working with a client that has an ecommerce site. He has e physical addresses where they work, however, neither would want customers to go to their office. Is it inappropriate to create a Google Places listing in this situation? I'm working with another client who runs a blog for his PR agency. Is it OK to create a Google Places listing for a blog? He would welcome people to visit his agency.
