New Google Analytics Site Speed tool and excel
-
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a good tool or method to pull the new Google Analytics Site Speed data into excel and use this document to track site speeds on a weekly basis for multiple clients? Any good articles or how-to's would be awesome!

Some of the metrics re: Site Speed is available via the Google Analytics Export API. You can use some commonly used Excel plugins that are great at pulling in GA API data into your Excel doc to manage your data over time. Excellent Analytics is free (http://excellentanalytics.com/) and Next Analytics (http://excel.nextanalytics.com/) has a free trial but the license costs money (but it's a great product)

Google Analytics Average Position
I'm looking at Google Analytics -> Acquisition -> Search Engine Optimization -> Queries reports. I'm looking at keywords and the average position. What Google reports and what I see in a Google incognito search is different (usually my search is much lower). For example, for one search term, Google reports 5.8 average position and every time I search it is 8. My local result is 4. Anyone know why this is? I'm wondering if Google is averaging the Local results into number?

How should I trace this is GA but having attention that I should be able to see visits as a whole and also if I want I should be able to see visits per subdomain, anything on specific I should do when creating the account? And after creating the account, how to separate that accordingly? 🙂 Thank you all!

Have You Ever Gotten False or Odd Notifications from Google Webmaster Tools?
I just got an email for one of my client websites from Google Webmaster Tools letting me know that the Google Bot could not access the website? The notification indicated that there may be a robots.txt issue that prevented crawling, but that they would try something to crawl it again. In this situation, we had just created a new Webmaster Tools account for the client, and there were (are) two GWT accounts now for the website, one that is incorrectly set to http://clientwebsite.com and the other that is set to www.clientwebsite.com. One of them reports zero errors, and the other reports an odd crawl error. Anyone encountered this type of thing before?

We want a way to remove all the redirects from our Google analytics reports. More specifically we do not want to include the the page view of http://www.darden.virginia.edu/web/Home/ in our page view count when the user is on a mobile device. How do we do that?
