Has anyone had any success when requesting help from Bing?
-
For the past month I have been struggling to resolve a problem with an increasing number of 404 crawl errors in Bing. (Only Bing reports these error, not Google and not Moz.) I did receive email from them requesting a server log (which I have now sent 5 times.) Their response, please send a server log. The last email I sent (6/21) explained there should be server log attached, if they did not get it, not why not? Do they have a restriction on file size? What other compression types do they accept? It has been very frustrating to deal with them and all of their responses are between 9 PM and midnight. Almost a week later, no reply.
Any suggestions how I can get out of this seemingly endless loop and get a helpful response during normal business hours (PDT)?

When I've tweeted with Duane Forrester in the past about communicating with Bing, he's said to use this URL https://support.discoverbing.com/eform.aspx?productKey=bingwebmaster&ct=eformts&scrx=1. I'm guessing you used that, but putting it out there just in case you had tried a different method.
Also, hello to the (almost) Central Coast! I grew up in Santa Maria, and have fond memories of the Mid-State Fair. Headed back that way next month for my high school reunion and to fill up on strawberries and tri-tip.

Funnel Problem in Google Analytics - Please help
Hello, I did set up a several funnel steps in my analytics account to get the funnel visualization report. But it's look fishy, something's clearly wrong that it shows only 10 visitors at the first step but actually more than 5k visitors has visited first goal page and followed through the another all steps. Everyday we are receiving 5k to 10k goal conversions but it not showing in the entire funnel steps through first step to last step. Please see the attached screenshot URL for funnel setup (Admin) and funnel visualization report comparing last two months traffic. Total goal conversions received 3,605 in last two months but in funnel chart (report) it showing only 2% conversions in last step. Anybody can tell me what is the problem with that or analytics not tracking properly?si65Y

Help w/ Google Event tracking w/ new Universal analytics.js
I want to implement Google event tracking after my visitors complete an estimate form. The form provides them an approximate range of costs based on their widget and widget amount. I have the php coding done, but I don't know JS and I need to send an event upon completion of the estimate form. However, all of Google's examples are button click events. How do I send the event upon completing a form if there is no separate landing page? If I have my Google analytics code on the page as well, would simply adding the following the completed estimate code work?

Help! Organic traffic decreased 75%.
Hi all, I've had fairly steady organic traffic to my website (www.toptienmobiel.nl) for the last 2 years. Since the beginning of march however I've noticed that the organic traffic was decreasing. Up until now my total organic traffic has decreased to about a quarter of what it was. It doesn't seem to be a penalty, since I still have most of my important keywords on the first page. They've decreased significantly though, mostly from the top 3 to 7+ position. Any idea on what may have been the reason for this sudden decrease? My link profile is still natural and I haven't done anything radical to the website concerning the backlinks or on-page elements. Could it be an algorithmic (Panda / Penguin) update? Thanks in advance!

Google vs Bing/Yahoo SERP results?
I see large differences in Google and Bing/Yahoo SERP results for many keywords. Google shows many of our primary keywords in their top ten, while Bing/Yahoo rank the same one 40-50 or above. Do you have any insight on their differences that might account for this variation? We are legitimate, long time, white hatters at a small manufacturer that is one of the leaders in our industry. The only thing I can think of that might describe this issue is PPC advertising. Their algorithms wouldn't be that inconsistent would they? (We do much more paid advertising on Google) But generally this should have no affect, right? Thanks, George...
