Error in Moz duplicate content reports
-
Hi - I've run the Moz campaign on a client's site.
Moz is saying that there are duplicate content errors, and when I look at the errors it is showing that they are all to do with the non-www URLs having being duplicated in the www form of the URLs.
However this is not the case - all the non-www URLs are all 301 redirected to the www URLs.
Is this an error in the Moz tool? Has anybody experienced something similar?

Hi Peter,
If pages suspect of duplicate content all register a 200, does that mean they are true duplicates? I am having a situation where all of our links with parameters are being reported as duplicate; however, we have canonical tags in place and have Google set to ignore parameters.
However, when I run the site through Screaming Frog, all pages register 200s. -
Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to us! I am sorry if you might be seeing some discrepancies between our report vs. what you are seeing. I looked into the campaigns you were mentioning, it looks like the non www urls aren't redirecting with a 301 to the www url like you mentioned, what I am seeing is that they are still sites that register a 200 response. You can actually see their http response here:
http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php
Hope that helps, at this time we aren't getting any reports of issues with the crawler, but if this is stilling happening after you put in a 301 redirect please let us know at help@moz.com
Best,
Peter

How to Fix 404 Errors
Hey Moz'ers - I just added a new site to my Moz Pro account and when I got the crawl report back there was a ton of 404 errors (see attached). I realize the best way to fix these is to manually go through every single error and see what the issue is... I just don't have time right now, and I don't have a team member that can jump on this either, but realize this will be a huge boost to this client if/when I get these resolved... So my question is: Is there a quicker way to get these resolved? Is there an outsourcing company that can fix my clients errors correctly? Thanks for the help in advance:) wBhzEeV

404 Errors generating in WP
Our crawl reports are generating back several 404 errors for pages with urls that look like: /category/consulting/page/5/ The tag changes, the page number changes, but the result is always the same: A big glaring 404. Our sites are built on WordPress Multi-site, and I am fairly certain this issue is on the WP end, but I can't figure out why it is generating pages out to infinity, essentially, from the tags and categories. It is worse on some sites than others, but is happening across the board (my initial concern was that it might be a theme issue, but that does not seem to be the case). If anyone has run into this issue and knows a fix, you're insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SEO Moz Rank Report
Anyone else noticing the rank reporting seems to be off? My reports are showing "not in top 50" for some keywords that my site is on page one for. Not in places listings either because I know that can throw things off! Anyone?

How to set the crawler or reports to ignore
I have a mobile version of a site with a URL string that disables the mobile view on smartphones (view full site), string is like this example.com/page-name.html?mobile=off I need the seomoz pro reports or crawler to ignore it because the crawler visits both versions of the site then reports them as duplicate content. Is there a setting page I haven't visited yet that will set this?
