How do I go about fixing these errors? There are all related to my tags.
Thank you in advance for any help!

I have adjusted the indexing in SEO Yoast. So I will see what happens next time it gets crawled. Thank you for the great answers and so quickly as well!
-
That's a decent point - it's likely they're able to tell when a page is a "tag" page, and automatically factor that in when indexing - this doesn't change the fact that it gets flagged as a problem with a Moz crawl, though

I just posted a question on this topic but I find it hard to believe that Google would penalize duplicate content created through Wordpress tags considering it is in such widespread use and the average person would never think to fix the issue.
Also, be careful if your tags are generating traffic for you. We have several tags that rank well in Google so we wouldn't want to lose that traffic.

A little more information would help shape the responses you will receive here, but I will try and give you a general answer.
When you say, "related to my tags" - do you mean that "tag" pages (in WordPress presumably?) have been marked as duplicates because they contain the same text content as posts on the site? If so, I have found that it is useful to only show an excerpt of the post content on the tag pages.
Alternately, many people disallow Google from indexing their tag pages, because generally they are not important enough to justify optimization, and they don't need to be included in the index - they often have only duplicate content on them.
If you are indeed using WordPress, any number of SEO plugins will allow you to mark tag pages as "noindex" - I like to use the Yoast SEO plugin.

Hi Lisa,
When viewing posts per tag, the content on that page is identical to the content on another page which is triggering the dupe content.
The general rule of thumb is to no-index your tag pages. If you're using wordpress, Yoast SEO plugin allows you to set the no-index tag automatically.

Moz crawl diagnostic tool is giving me a heap of duplicate content for each event on my website... http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/events/Mint-Festival-7/ http://www.ticketarena.co.uk/events/Mint-Festival-7/index.html Should i use a 301 redirect on the second link? i was unaware that this was classed as duplicate content. I thought it was just the way the CMS system was set up? Can anyone shed any light on this please. Thanks

Duplicate content problem?
Hello! I am not sure if this is a problem or if I am just making something too complicated. Here's the deal. I took on a client who has an existing site in something called homestead. Files cannot be downloaded, making it tricky to get out of homestead. The way it is set up is new sites are developed on subdomains of homestead.com, and then your chosen domain points to this subdomain. The designer who built it has kindly given me access to her account so that I can edit the site, but this is awkward. I want to move the site to its own account. However, to do so Homestead requires that I create a new subdomain and copy the files from one to the other. They don't have any way to redirect the prior subdomain to the new one. They recommend I do something in the html, since that is all I can access. Am I unnecessarily worried about the duplicate content consequences? My understanding is that now I will have two subdomains with the same exact content. True, over time I will be editing the new one. But you get what I'm sayin'. Thanks!

Fix duplicate content caused by tags
Hi everyone, TGIF. We are getting hundreds of duplicate content errors on our WP site by what appears to be our tags. For each tag and each post we are seeing a duplicate content error. I thought I had this fixed but apparently I do not. We are using the Genesis theme with Yoast's SEO plugin. Does anyone have the solution to what I imagine is this easy fix? Thanks in advance.

Need help with Joomla duplicate content issues
One of my campaigns is for a Joomla site (http://genesisstudios.com) and when my full crawl was done and I review the report, I have significant duplicate content issues. They seem to come from the automatic creation of /rss pages. For example: http://www.genesisstudios.com/loose is the page but the duplicate content shows up as http://www.genesisstudios.com/loose/rss It appears that Joomla creates feeds for every page automatically and I'm not sure how to address the problem they create. I have been chasing down duplicate content issues for some time and thought they were gone, but now I have about 40 more instances of this type. It also appears that even though there is a canonicalization plugin present and enabled, the crawl report shows 'false' for and rel= canonicalization tags Anyone got any ideas? Thanks so much... Duplicate content and http and https
Within my Moz crawl report, I have a ton of duplicate content caused by identical pages due to identical pages of http and https URL's. For example: http://www.bigcompany.com/accomodations https://www.bigcompany.com/accomodations The strange thing is that 99% of these URL's are not sensitive in nature and do not require any security features. No credit card information, booking, or carts. The web developer cannot explain where these extra URL's came from or provide any further information. Advice or suggestions are welcome! How do I solve this issue? THANKS MOZZERS
