Website disappeared from Google :(
-
Dear all,
I've a 5 years old website, which was in top rank for a particular keyword. It's been a couple of months that the site suddenly disappeared from Google.com.au search. However, the site is number one on Bing and Yahoo.
I've tried almost everything in my limited knowledge but it doesn't seem to come back. Can you please suggest if something can be done.Google.com.au
website: http://partysuppliesnow.com.au/
keyword: "party supplies"Your help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
It looks like for your site is either the EMD or panda 20. See visibility graph: http://screencast.com/t/nuADEP65t
Since you are a good candidate for the exact match domain issue / update you can tackle that but first you should see if you are also a panda candidate and go with the vaccine base don the illness...
Hope it helps.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your replies. It's been really awesome. At least, now I have a direction to follow.
@Chris Menke: I've generated a report with penguin-tool you sent. It seems we are hit by Exact-Match Domain (EMD) Update and Panda#20. Please see the attached image.
Could you please tell what should I do to recover from the EMD and Panda 20 effects? Is there a chance I can get my traffic back with the same keywords?
@Jeff Christofferson: Yes, we used a service who were building 1 way links and the links all focused heavily on our main anchor text "party supplies" and "wedding decorations" which made our link profile look unnatural. - we have removed most of them now, and just 2 days ago used the disavow tool on 112 links we couldn't get removed.
Thanks again guys

Jarod,
It looks like there's some suspicious links to your website, including one "link network" from city.lucarelli.com. It may look like a link network to Google, especially when there's the same exact match text (Wedding Decorations) for each one.. I'd also remove links from linkpartners.com. I just took a quick look, but there's a few links from lower domain authorities than you which probably aren't helping your site.
Hope this helps! From my own experience, it's been taking 15-30 days to get sites back after an algorithm change like this... So be patient is the best advice I can give you, after you clean up your link profile.

Jarrod,
First you'll want to determine what penalty you were hit with. You can match up your google analytics with this http://www.barracuda-digital.co.uk/panguin-tool/ or this http://moz.com/google-algorithm-change and then you'll need to start taking steps to recover from the penalty--here's a starting point for that: http://searchenginewatch.com/article/2276498/Pure-Spam-What-Are-Google-Penalties-What-to-Do-to-Recover

Google results not close to matching MOZ PA and SA - Why?
I'm trying to convince a boss and another client/partner of the value of MOZ, but it's a challenge when Google's results and the MOZ analytics are way off. For example, when I do non-personalized (MOZ toolbar) Google search for "stair lift kansas city" I see some results that make sense. Further down the page I see my prospective client, kclift.com -- it's a new site with poor MOZ grades and almost no backlinks. It has a PA of 1 and a DA of 4. Yet it ranks above a YP site that has a DA of 89, and another site that has a PA of 27 and a DA of 14. What gives? When I used an in-private Bing search for those terms this site didn't display in the 1st 4 pages. That makes sense with these MOZ rankings and the new site. So how does the site get page 1 results on Google for the same terms? (I should note that I've gone to this site a lot, for the client, and done other related searches. I live in Charlotte, which is why I've included Kansas City in the search terms. With this search, I've tried several ways to do a Google search that is truly anonymous, but I'm not sure I've succeeded. I've erased browsing data, used incognito, used other browsers, and used the MOZ non-personalized Google search. All from the same IP though. Does Google track that? If so, how can one do a truly anonymous search on Google?) All suggestions welcome. Thanks! Richard S.

Potential spam websites with high DA linking back to us
Hey everybody, I'm going through all my sites and disavowing crap links. However, I'm having trouble distinguishing which high DA sites to disavow. What would you do? For example:

https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis?site=busca.starmedia.com&target=domain&source=subdomain&page=1&sort=spam_score and https://moz.com/researchtools/ose/spam-analysis?site=cc879fe.activerain.com&target=domain&source=subdomain&page=1&sort=spam_score They both have tons of backlinks - both good and crap. The first has a DA of 72 and a Moz spam score of 4/17 and the second has a DA of 86 and a Moz spam score of 9/171 -
Google has a penalty on my website? How to resolve?
I recently purchases Moz pro, hoping to find out why my website isn't ranking on specific keywords. I'm done analytics on myself and my competition and it seems that I rank better than them on 95% of the categories (using OpenSiteExplorer and keyword research tools). So I purchases Moz Pro hoping I'd find the glaring error in my ways. I found a few small issues I was having, and have dealt with them. Overall however, they were small issues, and have led me to believe Google as a penalty in place for my website (SEO friend have also suspected this). In my Google Webmaster tools, nothing is marked under Manual Actions. So does anyone have a way to contact Google and have them directly look at my website to insure there is no errors in their system?

How to add a Google+ business page to the social analytics?
Since my Google+ account is attached to my business page, MOZ is tracking the actual user page. I want to track the business page. It won't let me add another user. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?
Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.
