Could this work for Google Reconsideration Request?
-
One of my websites has received the following message:
We've reviewed your site and we still see links to your site that violate our quality guidelines.
Specifically, look for possibly artificial or unnatural links pointing to your site that could be intended to manipulate PageRank. Examples of unnatural linking could include buying links to pass PageRank or participating in link schemes.
We encourage you to make changes to comply with our quality guidelines. Once you've made these changes, please submit your site for reconsideration in Google's search results.
If you find unnatural links to your site that you are unable to control or remove, please provide the details in your reconsideration request.
I have used LinkResearchTools DTOX to locate unnatural links and remove them. So far I've been able to remove or nofollow 50/350 and that's as far as I can ever go. The rest of the websites either don't respond or don't have any contact information.
I added another 300 suspicious websites to my list and I'll try to get the links manually removed.
Hopefully I can get 100/650 websites (and a bit more links) removed in total - at most. That is my estimate.
I've been thinking to use Google Disavow Tool for the rest and make sure to submit a nicely written report with spreadsheets to Google - when I get to the reconsideration point.
What are your thoughts on this?
-
It took us 4 reconsideration requests before our unnatural link building penalty was lifted. In order to have the manually penalty revoked, we downloaded all our backlink lists from Moz, Bing and Google webmaster tools imported them into a Google doc and remove the duplicates. We then contacted every site and made a not of the contact details along with the date in a new column on the Google doc, we would then re visit the sites the following week and email them again. After 3 attempts we would but : unable to contact webmaster for link removal added URL to disinvow list.
Once we had gone through the whole list, which did take a long time we submitted the disinvow list first, then submitted our reconsideration request explains what we had done since our last request and include the link to the Google docs as the spam team can access this and see all the hard work you have done.
Good luck with it, and i hope you recover soon

Keep in mind that Matt Cutts has said people should usually be taking a machete to their backlinks rather than a scalpel. Don't try and remove just enough to make a difference, remove everything you think could possibly hurt you. And remove anything Google's likely to crack down on in the future. In my experience with Link Deotx, usually over 75% of backlinks marked as suspicious warrant removal.
-
No, don't remove the links coming from good authoritative sites.
For rest of the links, download links to your site report in Google Webmaster Tools and check if those low quality sites are in there. Start by removing the links that are in the report. You can disavow the links as well but you should be very careful in doing so. Sometimes, people get extra cautious and disavow good backlinks.

Should I also remove links coming from high authority domains with excessive use of commercial keywords in anchor text? What do you think about using Google Disavow for the ones I cannot remove manually?
-
Exactly! You are on the right path. Google states that you should submit the proof of your manual removal work along with the reconsideration request. It will help them understand that you are serious and are working for it and will also expedite the process.

SameAs Markup for Google Knowledge Graph
I am trying to get my content in the Google Knowledge graph. Everything I've read thus far about Knowledge Graph tells us how to get in for branded terms (e.g. company name or your own name). But I am looking for ways to have my content be indexed and shown in Google graph. For example, if you search for "mayonnaise for hair" you will see Knowledge graph show us a snippet from an article on RealSimple.com. **How do you get your content to show here? ** I've been reading a lot about SameAs markup, but it seems to only help for branded terms, so companies can have a knowledge box for their brand. But does it help for non-branded keywords? I appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Manual Removal Request Versus Automated Request to Remove Bad Links
Our site has several hundred toxic links. We would prefer that the webmaster remove them rather than submitting a disavow file to Google. Are we better off writing web masters over and over again to get the links removed? If someone is monitoring the removal and keeps writing the web masters will this ultimately get better results than using some automated program like LinkDetox to process the requests? Or is this the type of request that will be ignored no matter what we do and how we ask? I am willing to invest in the manual labor, but only if there is some chance of a favorable outcome. Does anyone have experience with this? Basically how to get the highest compliance rate for link removal requests? Thanks, Alan

Why isn't the Google change of address tool working for me?
Last night I switched my site from http to https. Both sites are verified in Webmaster Tools but when I try to use the change of address it says- Your account doesn't contain any sites we can use for a change of address. Add and verify the new site, then try again. How do I fix this?

Does Link Detox Boost Work?
That is a question I am sure many of your have been asking since they launched the product several weeks ago. Cemper claims they helped get a penalty removed in 3 days by using this product. Sounds great doesn't it? Maybe even sounds too good to be true. Well, here is my experience with it. We have been working to get a site's rankings back up for several months now. While it has no penalty, it clearly got hit by the algo change. So we have been very busy creating new content and attempting to remove as much "keyword rich" links as possible. This really hasn't been working very well at all, so when I heard about link detox boost I thought this was the answer to our prayers. The basic idea is link detox boost forces google to crawl your bad links so it know you no longer have links from those sites or have disavowed them. So we ran it and it was NOT cheap. Roughly $300. Now, 3 weeks after running it, the report only shows it has actually crawled 25% of our links, but they assure us it is a reporting issue and the full process has ran its course. The results. No change at all. Some of our rankings are worse, some are better, but nothing worth mentioning. Many products from Link Research Tools are very good, but i'm afraid this isn't one of them. Anyone else use this product? What were your results?

Google Generating its Own Page Titles
Hi There I have a question regarding Google generating its own page titles for some of the pages on my website. I know that Google sometimes takes your H1 tag and uses it as a page title, however, can anyone tell me how I can stop this from happening? Is there a meta tag I can use, for example like the NOODP tag? Or do I have to change my page title? Thanks Sadie

Google Places not appearing
is it possible to be sandboxed for a google places page? one of our clinics has a places page, and it was doing fine (http://www.google.com/maps/place?cid=5542269234389030356) but now whenever we set our location to trinity,fl and try to search for weight loss, weight loss trinity, etc.. it doesnt come up. it only comes up if we search medi weight loss trinity. also, when we go into our google places dashboard and try to edit the pictures, it doesnt show the same pictures on the actual locations page. for example, in our dashboard we have 5 pictures, but on the actual places page, 3 pictures are showing (none of which are in our dashboard). any ideas?
