Anyone know anything about or ever used SubmitEdge?
-
Hey everyone, just more curious to know if any of you have heard about, know anything about or ever used the link building services from SubmitEdge? I only ask because they pop up everywhere and took a look at their website and it says they do everything under the sun, have PR6, Moz DA 71, Moz Home PA 76.
Any feedback is good feedback and thanks in advance for any discussion points! - Patrick

Thank you both for your responses. It was one of those impulse questions since I'd just received an email "solicitation" from them, so I didn't think right away to check for previous posts. I'll go through the QA archives, and I do agree with you Robert. I thought I'd ask/investigate nonetheless.

Keri is right, Q&A has quite a few mentions.
Also, I would suggest you think about this: In SEO, there is easy and there is good; I do not know of anything that is good and easy. If link building was easy, if learning and fully understanding SEO was easy, if grasping all that is necessary to really deliver real and lasting results was easy, everyone would be in SEO and there would be no real discussion around what is best and there would not be a myriad of people testing a measuring, etc.
My advice is avoid anything that seems to be a shortcut to something others talk about putting a ton of time and effort to.
Best,
Robert

It's actually been discussed several times in Q&A. You might find it helpful to do a search for it in Q&A, then ask a question based on the questions you have after reading other discussions.

Has anyone heard or worked with penwarriors.co
I had someone from penwarriors.co approach me about putting some content on my site. The content is good. It's unique. It's very relevant and any links out are reasonable. But when I started to look into it, they seem to be churning out a hell of a lot of content for the companies they're doing outreach for and the companies themselves don't seem to be very active on social. I can't find the person they are attributing a guest blog to and I can't find the person that I've been communicating with on linkedin etc. Something doesn't feel right. Any ideas? Simon

Can anyone explain this Google+ subdomain?
https://google36059.reachlocal.net/collections/featured This seems really odd to me. It appears to be a fully working Google+ page and I can access the links that are other Google+ pages, but it is a subdomain of Reach Local. Any ideas?

Using web dev agencies to generate backlinks
Going to start by saying I'm totally new here, so apologies in advance is this is a dumb question! I run a site that is focused on home buyer education. The site is brand new, so no almost no link profile, and I'm trying to grow my backlinks. On twitter I've had success with real estate agents sharing my articles to their followers, which is great. It helps them educate their customers and feeds the social media beast. I realized that realtors, mortgage brokers, and insurance agents (all relevant to my niche) don't usually run their own websites. Many of these sales people leverage agencies, and often the agencies offer blog posting as part of their service offerings. I'm tempted to do some outreach to these agencies and offer to write guest posts. I figure they get free, quality content and I beef up my link profile. Is this a bad idea? Are there any risks with this approach?

Should I request backlinks to use anchor text that is page specific?
I work for a community college, with fairly high seo for the college in general. We have no budget for advertising specific programs, so we are trying to optimize individual pages on the website, e.g., physical therapy assistant, welding, etc. Does it make a difference if other websites use our main url, college name, or the college name plus specific program as the anchor text? Also, I'm seeing some posts here recommending to avoid lots of directory listings. I assume that doesn't apply to industry specific directories, like nursing school directories, right? I'm still a very new newbie and appreciate your advice.

1and1 - Ever had any problems? Link Analysis / SEO
Hi there guys, I have a website (www.advanced-incarcamerasystems.com) that I built quickly using the 1and1 service in the UK. I have been an SEOmozzer since about the beginning of June/July time and still not seeing any link info. It also seems to be struggling in terms of SEO. 1and1 have their own built in tools such as modifying certain SEO parts of a website but it really doesn't seem to do much. Our main site (www.advanced-incar.co.uk) has gone from strength to strength since using SEOmoz so im at a bit of a loss. Any help / advice anybody can throw my way would be great! Tim
