Where to find answers to really dumb questions about setting up Moz campaigns...
-
I had a Moz account earlier this year, let it drop for a few months, then decided it really was important to have one. So I'm back.
But there is still something about it that I really find frustrating. I can't seem to find any answers to what seem to be basic questions. Maybe they are too simple, maybe they are just dumb questions, but I sure would appreciate it if somebody could lead me to another source of information. Maybe somebody has written a "Moz for Dummies" book?
Here's an example:
I'm setting up campaigns for my websites, and I get to the Brand and Mentions section. It tries to autofill the space using my campaign name, but that's not accurate. So I go look at the Help Hub for Brands and Mentions, and it gives an example using MOZ as the brand name. But not many sites have a three-letter domain name, do they?. One of my domains is EasyDigging.com (2 words) and the other is BestDryingRack.com (3 words). So I look and look, but can't find any examples of longer domain names.
So I have no idea how to enter my Brand. Should it be the whole "EasyDigging.com" or should it just be "EasyDIgging" or should it be broke up into "Easy Digging"?
This is just 1 example. I find these sort of unanswered questions almost every time I try something new.
Is there a collection of examples anywhere?
I really hope so. Surely there are others who learn best from examples, who hate having to guess based on slim or vague instructions. Keeping my fingers crossed that somebody can lead me to the goldmine of good examples. Thanks!

Gregory,
I will tell you that your dumb questions have been asked by others, me for one. So, where to get the answers: You are here and there are answers here. If we cannot give you what you need, you will find that Moz has a help hub. I tried how to set up branded keywords and it does provide some answers. Short of that, you simply ask the team. Now, you may end up on the Seattle VS. Portland SEO cage match page where you just have to decide which is the one that will offer hope. Well, having been to both cities, I would suggest you choose based on the pics. With Seattle you have a whole crew coming from a fish market (if you like fish, well never mind re the smell), or with Portland, you have the answer to the question "touch or tackle?" ... figure it out, these cats can tackle some SEO.
But, I digress. You are in the Moz analytics section and under keyword rankings you need to click on add and manage keywords. Then manage brand rules. For your brand, I would suggest this: click include each that you have above. (one at a time). For my company, drumBEAT Marketing, I have it as drum beat marketing, drumbeat, drumbeat marketing, drumbeat marketing houston, drumbeat houston, etc. The reason is I know that if they are searching for anything related to drumBEAT, they already know we exist in some way and by virtue of that, it is a branded term. So, drumBEAT SEO, drumBEAT Copywriting, etc. are all branded terms.
I do it the same way for clients. I include their brand name, geo locator + KW + brand name, etc. If it is a domain, I include that so drumBEATMarketing.net, www.drumBEATMarketing.net, etc.
Last, you state: "I find these sort of unanswered questions almost every time I try something new."
Fantastic, now you can learn because you have questions. So, each time come to Q&A and ask the question. I promise you will learn more this way than by having example after example. You will be forced to think about what is the question and how do you communicate it. You will be nervous about asking the wrong question and you will force yourself to stretch a bit - before you ask the question - just to be sure you tried everything. (In doing that you may actually find answers we do not know of and we will learn from you.) You will see that SEO and using the myriad tools available for it means you are going to be asking questions for the next....few years at least. (I am still asking questions.)
I will also tell you that I in no way work for Moz, am not compensated by Moz (ok, thanks for the Tshirts Megan), and I do disagree with Moz and its team occasionally. Really. But, I can tell you I learn more here than anywhere so you are in the right place. Ask another dumb question, I dee double dog dare ya!
Best,
Robert

Moz not able to crawl our site - any advice?
When I try and crawl our site through Moz it gives this message: Moz was unable to crawl your site on Aug 7, 2019. Our crawler was banned by a page on your site, either through your robots.txt, the X-Robots-Tag HTTP header, or the meta robots tag. Update these tags to allow your page and the rest of your site to be crawled. If this error is found on any page on your site, it prevents our crawler (and some search engines) from crawling the rest of your site. Typically errors like this should be investigated and fixed by the site webmaster. I have been through all the help and doesn't seem to be any issues. You can check the site and robots.txt here: https://myfamilyclub.co.uk/robots.txt. Anyone got any advice on where I could go to get this sorted?

Moz Pro for simple local seo status reporting
I have a new client on a small budget with a local yoga studio. There's been no SEO work on this site so far, so, after the basics, I plan to work through the items on this list: https://moz.com/blog/top-20-local-search-ranking-factors-an-illustrated-guide I'm a new Moz Pro user and am looking for advice on how to use Moz Pro tools with my client to review progress over time...a simple checklist of reports/metrics to share and track, and to use in weekly status reports. Or, in other words, how can I configure and use Moz Pro tools for basic progress tracking? This is not a sophisticated, SEO-savvy client, so I want to keep things very simple. Thanks for any ideas or pointers. Dave

Not able to access Moz pro page and my campaigns
Hi, I could not able to access my campaign pages (pro home page). I received the below issue while logged into my account. This webpage has a redirect loop The webpage at http://moz.com/pro/home has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer. Learn more about this problem. Error code: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS I have checked on both firefox, chrome browsers after cleared the history and cookies. Also checked with different ISP providers. But received the same. Has anyone experienced the same? Plz help.

Quickest Way to Pro Campaigns after Log In?
For some reason every time I sign into Moz there is no sign of a button or menu for my pro campaigns. I have to click on the Moz Analytics button at the top right of the screen. As of today I now have to click a campaign within analytics before I see any sign of a pro campaign button. Can anyone tell me the quickest and easiest way to find my pro campaigns once I've signed in? I also have the same problem if I wonder off to blogs, Q&A, Products and Training. Feeling increasingly frustrated and starting to avoid using Moz.

What is a crawl limit? How does that work?3. How many sites can we work on under the developers - professional license ?Looking forward to your responses. Thanks,Tony

Is it possible to get Moz to do a crawl report on a domain blocked by robots.txt and actually display all errors instead of only one saying the domain was blocket in robots.txt? Anything i can add to robots.txt to make moz able to do the crawl report but still hinder google from crawling a staging domain?
