Inbound links not showing in reports
-
My clients site so far only has a few inbound links. If I do a report on MOZ/Open Site Explorer it only lists 10 domains linking in and, a number of important ones are not on that list.
As an example, one of the leading UK national newspapers (Daily Telegraph) has a link on this page to the client www.vidavida.co.uk and yet this link/domain does not appear in the above reports.
Is this an intentional nofollow type thing that the telegraph does and is there a way for me to check that on their site/page?

Any comments most appreciated.

Like what Federico said it takes time for these pages to get found and indexed.
Moz's isn't able to index the web at the level that Google is able to. So just because it's not showing up in Moz yet doesn't mean that Google hasn't found and indexed it yet.
Other ways that you can monitor inbound links:
- Set up alerts with Google Alerts & TalkWalker.com
- Check referrals in Google Analytics, new referrals sources could be from other sites linking to you.
- Other backlink checkers that you could check, besides OSE, ahrefs & majestic seo
Hope this answers your question.

How new is the Website?
Does the links shows up under "Recently Discovered"?
Keep in mind that recently created backlinks take some time to come up in the backlink report. Besides, some links may never appear as OSE only crawls a portion of the web.
Keep checking back and if the links is 1 - 2 weeks old, take a look to WMT to see if it shows up there (where it actually matters), they also take a few days to refresh that report (recently discovered).
Hope that helps!

How do you check the outbound links of a site?
There are great tools like http://www.opensiteexplorer.org that will tell you all about the inbound links. What about the more basic and easier question: What outgoing links does this site have?

How do I get our full domain link profile?
With Open Site Explorer I have exported our domain link profile but I only get 65 domains returned when our marketing software reports that we have 315 . . . I know that some domains point to www.bluelink.ca which redirects to www.bluelinkerp.com. Is Open Site Explorer missing these links?

SEOMoz Link Analysis Not Updating?
Hi there, I am wondering why the Link Analysis in SEOMoz takes so long to recognise new back-links. I have had the same figures showing for months when I know that I have added a lot more backlinks that are showing in my Google WebMaster account and I have also proven exist by searching directly in Google's search engine. How often does the Link Analysis section update itself? Are these figures worth following at all or are they useless? Thanks!

Why would PA be 1 (0 links from 0 root domains) if it's linked to internally?
Question just about said it all: I've seen a number of pages on sites that have a PA of 1 (with the metrics being 0 links from 0 root domains) when I can see on the site that it is linked to internally - from the main nav (which is CSS, not Javascript) and also from the footer, if not other places. Why would this be? Update: upon looking further at the site, it appears that there's some kind of redirect going on, where the page linked to from the nav actually redirects to the real page. Would that eliminate PA, even if it's a 301? And additionally, is whatever is causing this lack of PA a reflection of how Google would relate to the page? Thanks, Aviva
