My homepage is not getting indexed by google for some reason
-
My homepage http://www.truebluelifeinsurance.com is not indexed by google. The rest of my site is indexed.
The hompage is indexed by bing. I looked in the webmaster tools and there is no indication why.
I believe the issue started when I did a site re-design in August.
Any ideas?
-
Hi,
May i know How did you solve you website indexing problem?
I am facing the same problem with my website.
Thank you.
-
I can see it indexed. Looks like the problem is resolved.
-
Any update on this? Are you seeing your site indexed by Google yet? What is GWT saying?
-
If it does not resolve itself and by the sounds of it, it should have by now. There is always the option of contacting John Mueller at Google. There will be a Hangout Q&A this Friday where you can ask that exact question. You can post your question to him right now at http://www.google.com/moderator/?#15/e=203709&t=203709.7c&f=203709.6c6f70 and he will get to it live.
Sometimes when there are weird issues, John is a great resource as he has all the inside tech to check a problem.
He has helped me many times before.

There shouldn't be any problems with the robots.txt file as far as blocking the homepage in Google, especially since the homepage is indexed in Bing and both crawlers abide by the robots.txt.
-
Could it be this content in my robot.txt file?

I did not change domains with the re-design. The sitemap is a mistake and from another site I own.
-
Interesting. That is a mistake. I have deleted the sitemaps on the site.
-
I have done this already today in the webmaster tools. I should have definitely been indexed by now as it has not been indexed for months.
-
Did you change domains when you did a site redesign? I noticed your sitemap has URLs from a completely different domain name so that may have something to do with it - http://www.truebluelifeinsurance.com/sitemap.xml. I'd make sure to change the sitemap and then set your preferred domain name in Google Webmaster Tools.
-
Have you given it enough time to get crawled? You can also submit it to Google webmaster tools to get crawled.

Little odd I must admit but I'm sure someone around here will get to the bottom of it

All ranked pages on Googles SERP only links to home
I got a problem regarding my website called musik.dk, and hope you guys are able to help. I just got my first ranking results from Moz. My question is: All my keywords are linking to the home page, and not the artist page? For examples if I were to search on Rihanna on Google, then when musik.dk appears on the SERP, it only links to the home, and not musik.dk/rihanna.. This problem applies to all the given artists ranked on Googles SERP, it never shows the artist page itself, only links to home. Let me know if you need any information, and I gladly supply, this is kind of frustrating to me.. As a note: all pages besides the home has a PA of 1, and it doesn't really seem to change. How To Ques. Getting ranked on page one for a keyword when you compete with bigger websites/companies/stores
Can David Beat Goliath. I work with small businesses with top products that are up against big brands and their online presence. If I am working with them to create content that meets the needs of all their stakeholders/customers/prospects to generate revenue I wonder if keyword targeting with content can really pay off to get them page one, #1 position ranking. So I ask you this question? How do you create a story for a small online store that can get ranked on page one for a keyword when you compete with bigger websites (or sites with higher domain authority)? I don't need all the basics, I'm just looking for a key insight or tip that you have found or heard is working for a David to beat a Goliath (and hold their position rank once they get highly ranked). We are up against sites - for viable keywords -who have higher domain authority and in some cases more content or link backs. Also, I've notice in situations when I do get to page one and I'm in position 7 MOZ analytics show low to no traffic coming from it? Yikes, what do I do to improve that? These are top keywords.

Is there a way to get the domain authority of a subdomain?
For example, www.storage-mart.com and us.storage-mart.com both show the same DA in OSE. I believe it's the DA of the root domain. How can I compare the DA of the 'www' and 'us' subdomains?

Rankings in Google.be - 3 languages
As the site of my customers is in 3 languages, I also want to monitor the rankings in 3 languages. I do have the possibility to monitor them in seomoz: google.be english google.be dutch google.be french However, in the report (http://pro.seomoz.org/campaigns/227154/rankings) I do see the 3 columns, but the title is only google.be, WITHOUT the language selection. Not really helpfull... Any advice? oNDu9

Issue getting total links, page & domain authority
Hi guys, I am trying to get total links, page & domain authority using the API. Why are the rankings of my keywords different to rankings from other programmes such as 'Access my Lan' and 'Firefly'? Does SEOMoz count 'Google Places and Maps' in their rank count? Im thinking this could explain the difference
