5 minutes riddle of a hacked website - 2nd run
-
Hi, i am just a common person and no developper. I am sure that one of you will no the solution to my problem. If you beleive that you are the one SEO expert i need, this is going to cost you 5 minutes of your time. Before i confuse you with my broken English and wrong terminology i have created a short video of my google stats. See attached youtube link.
Intro: My site has been hacked, therefore i created a completely new site on a different server with fresh data. Unfortunately google does not seem to recognize all the changes. My website URL is: goo.gl/mJqXF4
_Sorry for posting in the wrong category. To answer the questions asked there:_My site was hacked via SQL Injects because it was outdated and without any security solution.
My local files where not used in any way to create the new site with the exception of some NAS stored pictures.
Support or educate me if you prefer, or just let me know what a complete cleanup and restoration of my #4 (keyword: proberaum frankfurt) and #2 (keyword: proberaum) ranking would cost me.
Thank you in advance!

Hi,
if anyone is interested, i have found the solution for those type of links: You can generate a 404 by catching the string.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_METHOD} GET
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (^|&)your bad link
RewriteRule .* /your 404 link#$1 [NE,R]I hope that will spare somebody the time i needed..
Cheers

My beta site (beta.website.com) has been inadvertently indexed. Its cached pages are taking traffic away from our real website (website.com). Should I just "NO INDEX" the entire beta site and if so, what's the best way to do this? Please advise.

HUGE decrease in links since website redesign
We recently added several new pages pages to our website. These new pages were constructed on a dev site, and then pushed live. Since the new site has gone live I have seen a huge decline in links. My external followed links have dropped from 3000 to 500 and my total website links have fallen from 35,000 to 4,500. I have done some research, and I think there is a server side issue. Where multiple versions of my URL may be running. The majority of the links built were pointing to the homepage. That being said I do not have access to our in-house dev person this week, so I am trying to identify the problem myself. I have used screaming frog to crawl my site and did not see any errors which stand out. I realize I probably need to use 301 redirects to solve this problem, I just need some guidance on how to identify what I need to 301 redirect. Second question. If I move a landing page out of the global navigation but it can still be reached through other pages on the website , will this cause issues?

Author Mark on multiple websites - Is this possible?
Let's assume that someone has a blog and they've added the author tag to that so they appear in author search. Let's say they then write an article on another site? Can that site use the same author mark for them? I guess the question is: Can the same author mark be used across multiple sites?

Frequent updating of pages on website to rank better
Will updating each page often for example everyday or few days, rank the page and/or website better in google. The reason I ask is that I made 18 websites about three months ago and the traffic initially was alot higher and has fallen little by little thru the 3 months. Also how well my pages rank has also fallen. I just put out the websites, have done nothing else. No linking, etc. No updates. It is evident that without new links coming in, the website will fall in rank ie., link aquistion velocity But my question is if I update the pages and change content frequently will this improve my position in google and other search engines. The traffic on websites over the three months if graphed sort of looks like a stair case going down.

Struggling to get my lyrics website fully indexed
Hey guys, been a longtime SEOmoz user, only just getting heavily into SEO now and this is my first query, apologies if it's simple to answer but I have been doing my research! My website is http://www.lyricstatus.com - basically it's a lyrics website. Rightly or wrongly, I'm using Google Custom Search Engine on my website for search, as well as jQuery auto-suggest - please ignore the latter for now. My problem is that when I launched the site I had a complex AJAX Browse page, so Google couldn't see static links to all my pages, thus it only indexed certain pages that did have static links. This led to my searches on my site using the Google CSE being useless as very few pages were indexed. I've since dropped the complex AJAX links and replaced it with easy static links. However, this was a few weeks ago now and still Google won't fully index my site. Try doing a search for "Justin Timberlake" (don't use the auto-suggest, just click the "Search" button) and it's clear that the site still hasn't been fully indexed! I'm really not too sure what else to do, other than wait and hope, which doesn't seem like a very proactive thing to do! My only other suspicion is that Google sees my site as more duplicate content, but surely it must be ok with indexing multiple lyrics sites since there are plenty of different ones ranking in Google. Any help or advice greatly appreciated guys!

Two company websites - should 1 be nofollow?
We are an automotive dealership that is required to keep a manufacturer appointed website. It's pretty terrible so we are having a new site developed in addition to that. We plan on transferring our current domain name to the new site but I am not sure what to do with the older, less useful site. Should I try to have both sites appear in the search results to capture more traffic? Or is that inefficient? Should I make the new site no follow?
