Is it ok to place internal links from the sidebar?

I have a category Kenya news with 40 posts in it. Is it good practice to place links to the other posts into the sidebar of each post?
Thank you

Again, do what you feel is useful/best for your reader/audience as it won't make a difference SEO-wise.
-
Thank you very much Chris, so you think it is better to implement links into article itself?
-
You'll be fine doing that, though it's not going to do much as far as SEO. Your next thought should be is this going to help the visitor. Sometimes too many links just make things more confusing.

About Link Earning?
I own an e-commerce store and I am get started with my SEO strategy. I know content is extremely important when it comes to link building, however for an e-commerce store what can I do as far as content. So far my only idea is blog posts. It's a furniture store so videos are really hard to do. The blog posts relate to home decor and interior design. My question is if people are going to be linking to my blog, will this help my website rank for product terms? The blog is part of the website, websitename.com/blog.

I am getting links on people's wordpress blogs but are not showing up on the just discovered tool. Is it true that wordpress links are no-follow links that do give off any link-juice?
A blogger told me that "wordpress.com does not allow blogs to show advertisements or use links to sites that sell merchandise of any kind" is this true? Am i wasting my outreach time trying to get links from wordpress operated blogs?

Internal Links - Anchor Text - Strategy
Good Morning... I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or advice on an internal linking strategy for an e commerce website. I was thinking about adding a link to all of the subcategory pages that says: "View All : main keyword" and having my main keyword hyperlinked back to the home page. This would provide users who have gotten to a subcategory page that may not be exactly what they are looking for simply click that link and go back to the home page to select a different category.... Would having an internal link with the same anchor text on roughly 30 pages hurt my rankings? Wouldn't that help users navigate through my site? As always, any thoughts/advice or strategy tips are appreciated. Thanks
