Duplicate content errors

Hi
I am getting some errors for duplicate content errors in my crawl report for some of our products
www.....com/brand/productname1.html
www.....com/section/productname1.html
www.....com/productname1.html
we have canonical in the header for all three pages
rel="canonical" href="www....com/productname1.html" />

Hi
still getting this error on my campagin reports duplicate content errors?
Thanks
-
Hi
sorry if I was not clear, I add canonical meta after the first weeks scan but these errors have appeared?
Thanks paul

If the errors were fixed since the last weekly crawl you will not see the changes reflected until you get the new weeks crawl data.
-
This campaign has been running for three weeks and I have corrected many of the errors, in fact I thought I had corrected all the errors. I was waiting for this weeks campaign to confirm the errors were fixed so that I could report back to my client but now have these new errors
-
I'd love to help get an answer for you! This is Abe from the Moz Help Team. Were these changes made after your weekly crawl took place?
-
Well if everything is correct in the header then technically you don't have any problem. So you're not really waiting for something to clear up, you're just waiting for Moz to catch up. If you could post one of the URLs here I could provide a second set of eyes to double-check your canonical.
-
right thats a bit painful, need to wait a week to see if it clears itself
-
Occasionally I've had issues where Moz doesn't seem to recognize the canonical right away (or sometimes randomly forgets the canonical is there when its seen it before) and reports duplicate content to me. Its ultimately always cleared itself up though. Double-check your canonicals are definitely written correctly, in the right spot and pointing to the right URL. If they are, I'd say wait to see if Moz fixes itself next crawl.

I added a privacy policy link to my footer and now Moz is showing thousands of 4xx errors
My website didn't have a privacy policy so I added one and put the link in the footer menu. When I did this, Moz came back telling me that there are a lot of new errors on the site. Is this a bad thing? Do I need to address it? HY59Iks sYyAHCB

Is the Content Suggestions section under Page Optimization a TF-IDF Analysis?
If you start a campaign in Moz, go to page optimization, enter a URL and keyword, and go to the bottom where it says "Content Suggestions" is that basically do a TF-IDF analysis? I want to make sure I understand how that works. Thanks!

Moz encountered an error on one or more pages on your site
Error Code 804: HTTPS (SSL) Error Encountered The Moz Help Section only says: 804 HTTPS (SSL) error 804 errors result from a site with misconfigured SSL software. If Moz's crawlers cannot correctly interpret an SSL response for a home page, the crawl ends immediately. My site is publicly accessible on https - https://www.respoke.io/ And I'm not seeing any issues with my certificate. Can anyone help me out? What steps can I take to troubleshoot this error? Duplicate Page and Title Issues
On the last crawl, we received errors for duplicate page titles and some duplicate content pages. Here is the issue: We went through our page titles that were marked as duplicate and changed them to make sure their titles were different. However, we just received a new crawl this week and it is saying there are even more duplicate page title errors detected than before. We're wondering if this is a problem with just us or if it has been happening to other Moz users. As for the duplicate content pages, what is the best way to approach this and see what content is being looked at as a "duplicate" set?

Moz is reporting a broken link error but GWT is not
My latest Moz report is showing a 404 for: http://www.fateyes.com/how-will-googles-hummingbird-affect-your-search-ranking/”ht
Moz Bar | | gfiedel
(and showing the link this way with the characters after the last / which are not part of the page URL) Google Webmaster Tools says we have no errors. I'm wondering why there is this descrepancy and I'm wondering how I can track down where this link is originating from on our site. I've tried downloading screamingfrog and deeptrawl to no avail (java issues). I've also tried a couple of services online and installed Broken Link Checker plugin with no luck finding it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!0 -
