Any idea why ose is so slow in generating reports?
-
Hi Everyone,
Having some real issues when I generate a report from OSE. It's external only links csv and they seem to take forever before I can download them. Is it an OSE issue or something my end?
Thanks In advance
Kevin

It's not a regular problem. In this case, it's best to cancel and restart your exports, though it still may take 24 hours due to the backlog. Ugh...gotta love Mondays.
-
Keri, should i cancel the current (8 hour pending) reports and start again? Or?
-
Thanks for the response Keri.
I've been having this issue literally all last week, and again all day today (based in the UK). In the end, I had to create a different account to try to get some to complete while still leaving the problem ones there in case you guys needed to check them out to troubleshoot (some did complete in the new account, BTW, some still haven't).
I've been waiting, basically, over a week for some reports which I eventually gave up on today (I needed them last Thursday and still have had no response back from the ticket I raised via Zendesk).
Is this a regular known problem at your end? It absolutely is at this end.

The server got backed up in requests over the weekend. We've given it a swift kick, and things should start working better soon. So sorry for the delays, and thank you for your patience!
Also, thank you for letting us know here and in help desk. The information helps us identify that there is a trend and makes it easier to track down what has happened and get it working again.

This seems to be overly slow for me today too, been waiting 4 hours for mine to generate and they still havent...

Same for me FWIW.

Moz bot transforms special characters into fake 404 Pages in Reports
I have a lot of 404 links in my exported Moz Pro reports which are not actually Not Found pages when checking the Referring URL. For example: Referring URL:
Link Explorer | | ProspectoGroup
https://ofertolino.ro/oferte/barn%C3%A4ngen 404:
https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%83%C2%A4ngen What happens is that the referring URL leads to a redirect (https://ofertolino.ro/barn%C3%A4ngen) but it never leads to the specified 404 Page (which has even a more weird symbol in the URL when it is url decoded) in the report. What could be the issue here and is the Moz bot responsible for such misbehaviour?0 -
URL column of Link Explorer reports do not have the protocol (http or https)
I exported from Link Explorer. In the URL column, there is no protocol for each URL. Isn't the protocol part of what makes a url? I'm crawling each with http:// and https:// but it feels like this info could just be in the report. Am I missing a step?

No incoming links from DMOZ in my report
Hi, I am confused, after so much years of waiting, some months ago I got listed in the DMOZ http://www.dmoz.org/World/Español/Tiempo_libre/Turismo/Blogs/ (My blog is Charcotrip) The problem is that when I check the incoming list in the MOZ report, the DMOZ link is totally absent, I don't get it. Does anyone knows why can this happening? (is not that my blog get recently listed, now it has been there for a while). Thanks!

When is OSE updated?
Hey there, It clearly stands that OSE will be updated, well yesterday... on 21th April. In my experience, they usually update the date if they have technical issues or something... ...but now they haven't yet made any changes.

OSE not picking up all internal links?
Hi! I've been checking a few pages in OSE. For example: https://www.holidayhypermarket.co.uk/holidays/last-minute This, according to the tool, has only 6 internal links. However, a Screaming Frog crawl picks up 700+, which is about right seeing as there is a link in the footer. What do you think could be behind the discrepancy?

How can I get a Moz crawl report of 404 errors on my site
I have a Moz subscription and I see dead links on my website that link externally. Is there a Moz crawl report which will show me these 404 errors and which pages on my site those 404 links are on?

CSV Reports Reports comming up blank
I was running some backlink reports in OSE and exporting them on different domains (external only, root domain), the first exported fine, but the last 3 have been blank ( one was a redo incase it was just a one off error).

Does the inbound links report include links to all pages of the domain being researched?
If I enter 'abc.com' am I only getting results for 'abc.com' or will I get results for the internal pages of 'abc.com' as well (i.e. 'abc.com/page1.html)? There is a bit of a discrepancy between these results and inbound link results in semrush for example. Then again it seems whenever you use different tools to measure the same thing you get wildly varying results. How do you all deal with that?
