Domain Authority still down
-
It was mentioned several weeks ago (http://moz.com/community/q/domain-authority-drops) that there had been a 2 point drop in the DA, and it was to be fixed at the "next" index. The index refresh happened 17th Jan but the DA seemed to remain the two points lower than expected.
Is it just my sites or has this not been fixed yet... and will it be fixed?
Regards,
Gordon

Hey Gordon,
Thanks for following up. Unfortunately, it looks like the index from January 17th and the one that was just updated yesterday, the 30th, are both still being affected by the 2 point drop in DA. Our engineers are still working on a fix for this, but you wouldn't see the changed until at least three weeks after the fix is deployed to the index because it will take three weeks to collect and process new data with the fix in place for a new index.
I'm afraid we don't have an eta right now for when this will be fixed.
I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this causes.

My site has experienced a drop of 5 and recently an increase of 2 in DA. I can tell if it was because changes has been made or if it just gained more authority than before.

Same here Gordon. All our sites have experienced a drop of around 2 in DA.

If I migrate to a new domain, does my Domain Authority score get migrated also?
For business reasons, I migrated my domain with a DA score of 85 to a new domain. After some time, the DA score on the new domain is only 45. My migration plan and redirects went smooth and all redirected with best practices in mind. I am still ranking well for almost all of the keywords where I've 301 redirected old URL to new. Any feedback welcome!

If I have a MOZ PRO account, do I still need Screaming Frog?
Hi, I have a MOZ PRO account which is brilliant for me. I am about to move my site from HTTP to HTTPS and was looking for a smooth way to list every page and its details so I can make sure I do the correct redirects etc.. before the switch to SSL. Do I need to get Screaming Frog, or can the tools with MOZ Pro ease my path just as well? Thanks

Top Pages Report References URLs from a Different Domain
I am running a Top Pages Report using Open Site Explorer and it's returning that the top pages for examplesiteA.org are examplesiteB.com. Important to note that examplesiteA.org was a dormant domain for a few years. We recently purchased it and are in the process of reviving it. Has anyone experienced this before? Would this suggest that canonical link elements were put in place prior to it going dormant and that the top pages for this site are now assumed to be on examplesiteB.com?

Moz can't crawl domain due to IP Geo redirect loop
Hi, I'm trying to crawl our domain www.salvationarmy.org.au via my Moz account and it only ever returns results for one page when it should be crawling more than 3,000 pages. In talking to support, they have said that because of the redirect we have in place it is creating a 302 loop and therefore not delivering results. Usually in this case I would obtain Moz's IP addresses and add them to the redirect settings as an exception, but Moz have said they use cloud-based services for crawling so the IPs change all the time. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this issue? At this point I've paid for a year's subscription to a product I can't use. Thanks, Mel
