Responsive websites rank better?
-
In the upcoming months, or even now, do you think responsive websites will rank higher?
-
Sites that optimise the mobile experience will enjoy better rankings. That doesn't have to be a responsive site - it could be delivered on a separate mobile version or by dynamic serving. Clearly if you are providing your mobile visitors with an experience enhanced for mobile devices then you will be rewarded for that. A users who comes to a site from search which provides only a desktop version of the site and finds it virtually unusable will inevitably click back immediately - sending to Google the signal that their search query hasn't been met by that site. Optimise the user experience for the device the user is using - remember responsive isn't always the best option for user experience.

I will chime in, although learning myself.
With just listening to Mr. Shepard speak in a video, it seems like by 2016, Mobile will take over desktop usage. Not that desktops are going to be obsolete, its more that people will be able to access the information they need by using mobile devices.
So instead of waiting to get home to research things online, people will use their phones to get the information that they need.
So I think responsive sites are great for being able to cater to as many people as possible to cover all of the bases.

It isn't true. Responsive don't rank better. Usually people tend to say that as search engines like to show useful results to their users, therefore, when a user searches from a mobile device, the engine will most likely rank the one that it is better suited for a mobile device first (regardless if it is a responsive design or a mobile site).
Suppose a mobile search returns 2 sites that are equally worth reading, but only one has a mobile version (whether responsive or mobile). Then the engine may rank the mobile version one higher as it is best suited for the device the user is using.

Does an EAT score on my YMYL site impact my rankings?
I've read some conflicting information on YMYL and EAT. If the Google Quality Raters are out there reviewing YMYL pages and scoring them on EAT, does that site's score have an impact on that page's/site's ranking?

Hi Moz community, Our website has global audience, visitors and clients. Suddenly our website dropped in rankings for main keyword in US; which is our primary targeting country. Not sure why? This is been happening for last 2 months, we waited it to recover and now trying to fix if we can do anything about it. Is there anything wrong with back-links? Sudden Page Rank Drop for Weight Loss Camp
My site BalanceME.com has been performing really well and continually climbs more and more but in the last 7 days we have had a drop this last week. We went from #2 for weight loss camp to #6, and even further on other terms. It is mid May and I cannot find any other explanation for the sudden drop. I am hoping someone could give me some sort if idea what could possibly be the answer. Recently we have had two press releases go out, target for keywords, and also installed images that navigate to new pages on the site. There have been few additions to the site, and nothing can explain the drop. Other companies in our group have not had issues with recent drops, and we use the same practices with the other organizations. Thank you for your time

Monthly Searches in Rankings Tab
Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to SEOMoz, so my apologies if this is a very obvious question. I'm trying to find out how to do a report that shows both the ranking of my keywords as well as the monthly searches in Google or the other search engines. Is there an option for this? Thanks in advance!
