Looking to hire an SEO/Reputation manager
-
We are looking to hire an SEO/reputation manager or firm to complement our existing marketing efforts.
The goal is to take up the front page of Google on 3 branded keywords. We will create the content but need someone to come up with the strategy on what content to create, where to post it and how to link to get it moved to the front page of Google.
We went through MOZ's recommended list of service providers but would rather work with an individual freelancer than a large SEO company.
Please advice where we can find such consultant or email vitaly@newpeakmedia.com to apply. Include your experience and some samples of projects you have worked on.

Here's the keywords' difficulty based on MOZ's serp analysis tool and top 10 ranking pages for the first term

Hi vmotuz,
Typically folks here are already working. Calls out like this may not be the best way to offer a legitimate job opportunity, especially when noting that recommended firms here are not what you're looking for.
I suggest just posting your issues here and get the help of the community for free! Give you a fish, eat for a day. Teach you to fish and eat for life. Something like that. Be happy to point you in the right direction for your key words and landing pages.

Thank you. I updated the post with some screenshots of the keywords' difficulty based on MOZ's research tool.

This forum isn't generally used for requests for services, though it does happen on occasion. There are actually some individuals on the recommended list.
It could be that the question doesn't have enough details for people to send in a good proposal. It makes a big difference if your three branded keywords are related to a Cash For Gold site, or for three variations of a high schooler's name who is attempting to get into college and wants bad tweets pushed out of the way.

Thanks for your reply Keri. Yes, we are aware of the fact that newpeakmedia.com is blocked from indexing. The website we are looking for help with is hosted on a different domain.
So far we have gotten less than a handful of applicants. Why is it that no one is sending in their proposal?
Any specific questions or anything I forgot to cover? I am more than happy to answer.

A quick side question: do you realize the entire newpeakmedia.com site is blocked from indexing in robots.txt?

How does the background on my product photos impact SEO - step and repeat vs. plain background
I have a new e-commerce site and I'm focused on optimizing it for SEO. If I am taking product photos, will having a step-and-repeat (background with our logo repeated) in the background of the product impact how the images are scanned by Google? In other words, would I benefit from having a plain background behind my item shots vs. a backdrop with our logos all across it? I don't want Google to think I'm spamming my logo across all our items, but also want our photos to be recognized as ours. I want to gain SEO from my effort and definitely not hurt it! Thanks!

What is the best SEO friendly way to combine two websites.
I have two websites, eg: widgets.com - sells expensive widgets as gifts everydaywidgets.com - sells cheap widgets for everyday use. I would like to combine them both under the widgets.com domain name, because its easier to run the SEO campaign for one rather than two. But i still want two different product collections, and two different sites. widgets.com is by far the larger of the two sites so my current thought is to have that the main landing site, and have a button at the top to take the user to widgets.com/everydaywidgets where they have a similar but different site, and different products. I can set this all up no problem with the correct 301 redirects from everydaywidgets.com, but is it SEO friendly? Does anyone know of a real world example of a business doing this? Cheers

Local SEO - Review's Strategy
I'm trying to brainstorm some ideas for obtaining positive reviews for a my client who's a local business on Yelp and Google+. I think it's best to capture a customer in the "happy moment" after a successful transaction with that business. I'm thinking integrating the option for customers to leave a review on Yelp or Google+ during the transaction process would be best. Do you have any suggestions or experiences on the best way to integrate this into a transaction process where a customer physically walks into their business to make the transaction? (it's an Auto Body Shop BTW) Also any other strategies for getting customers to give reviews? Much appreciated!

E-commerce Platforms and Seo Doubts
Hello There, I plan to launch my online store with products soon via one of the saas hosted based platforms like shopify & bigcommerce. The issue is am trying out to see how this works for us. But then simultaneously we would work towards seo efforts to bring in relevant traffic too. Later once we grow and I decide to change the entire website based on custom design etc so that means again all the seo work has to be re-done? How can I avoid this since I have already invested capital and time in building the current saas hosted website and its almost ready to roll out. Can someone advice the best way forward and possibly a relevant solution Thanks Aditya

Benefit of Historical PDF Press Articles for SEO
Hello Is there SEO benefit to keep PDF news articles from 2/3 years ago live on our website? We have a page displaying positive press/pr articles to our visitors. Some of the articles are now from 2009 and I am unsure if these should remain for SEO benefit or should they be taken down or archived? Are they good content? Are they read by Search Engines? If they are old do the count against us with Search Engines? Look forward to some advice Gary McDonald
