What's affect more SEO between number of Facebook "Recommend" of number of fans of the facebook fan page?
-
I'm wondering what's the most important number in facebook that affect more the SEO of a site:
- It is the number of "Recommend" that your site have received or
- It is the number of fans the facebook fan page of the site have? Also does this really affect SEO or not?
If you can provide some data, statistics, link to post or whatever it would be very nice.
Thanks for your help

In it, Rand says that if you have quality fans (or followers in Twitter) who are sharing your stuff then this is helpful:
- Quantity of Friends/Followers - like links, it's likely the case that more is better, though there will likely be caveats; low quality bots and inauthentic accounts are likely to be filtered (and may be much easier to spot than spammy links, due to the challenge they find in getting any "legitimate" friends/followers).
- Importance of Friends/Followers - the friends/followers you have, like the link sources you have, are also probably playing a role. Earn high "authority" followers and you yourself must be a high authority person.
- Analysis of Friends/Followers Ratios - Much like the engines' analysis of the editorial nature of links, consideration of whether a social user is engaging in following/follower behavior purely out of reciprocity vs. true interest and engagement may be part of authority scoring. If you have 100K followers and follow 99K of them, but the engagement between you and your followers is slim, you're likely not as authoritative as an account with 100K followers + 5K following, but those followers are constantly engaged, retweeting, liking, sharing, etc.
In my opinion, the most valuable thing you can get from facebook is when people click the like button on your website to share your stuff with their facebook friends. I think having fans is good - but mostly for social interaction with you and your brand. I think it helps when someone clicks "like" on a facebook post but I don't think it has a huge impact in the serps.

Hi guys, I need to create a subscribe end-off to my YouTube videos. I need something like this - https://www.youtube.com/user/SeattleCoffeeGear - where the red gear at the bottom pops up with a bright red "subscribe" CTA. How do I do this?

Redirecting a page loved my Pintrest
Hi all, I'm after some advice on how best to redirect or retain any value a page might have from it's social shares (mainly Pintrest & a little FB). The page's original purpose was to be useful for people and hopefully pass some Google Juice to the main product page. I've created a new website and 301'd the pages to their new home. Now I'm going through my blog and I have a few pages that continue to get pinned around on Pintrest. Not sure the best way to retain the value. I was thinking of recreating the page on the new site and setting up a 301 redirect but I'm not sure if Pintrest follows along. Or maybe leaving the page on the old site and having a link to my main product page there (and it passing some value to the new domain). What do you think? Any other ideas that would be better? The page is: http://www.bringyourownlaptop.com.au/news/indesign-shortcuts-that-will-change-your-life/ The new home is www.byol.com.au. Thanks in advance Moz'ers! Dan

Facebook and Google+ Not Properly Picked Up
Hello, I have been having issues for some time now getting my Google+ and Facebook activity to show in the social media section of site explorer. Was anyone else having this same issue? I have verified my website to both pages and the Facebook page receives a considerable amount of traffic so it is very confusing to me. Any help is much appreciated. Thank You Steve

Why would Google+ send posts as 'messages' to people outside of your circles?
A day ago I uploaded a photo of a US Navy ship mooring at Bell Harbor marina, which is across from my office (near the conference center site of SMX Advanced Seattle). A rude comment was posted by someone from Germany accusing me of sending this to them personally, offended because he's anti-military: "Don't spam people pal." I blocked him. So, since it was uploaded to my public stream and shared to my circles, I have no explanation as to how this could happen. If someone in my circles shared it to him, I suppose it could look like I sent it to him, but I haven't seen that happen before. Anyone else see behavior like this? UPDATE: because this person was within one of the circles to whom I shared this photo, he received a notification that I'd shared it "directly" with him. See comment below.

"Likes" on a photo gallery
From my understanding its best to get likes on a website rather then from within the Facebook page for SEO purposes. What is better to set up a photo gallery with a like button on each image so that every URL gets liked separately for each image or having a like button for the entire gallery. 10 likes on one page or 1 like on 10 pages?

Does a 301 redirect pass along Google +1's from the old url to the new one?
When I 301 redirect a page that has content that has been +1'ed by our visitors, I would assume that Google would handle a +1 the same as a link and pass this authority along to the new url. Has anyone had any experience or heard directly from Google confirming this behavior?

Should my Facebook like button be for my Facebook page or my webpage?
I am curious as to people's opinion about the Facebook like button you add to a given website. It would seem with the increased influence of social media indicators that you would want to have people "like" your webpage (as opposed linking the like back to your Facebook page) when they go to your webpage, but this dilutes the number of likes you get at both Facebook and your webpage. It is my understanding that people are more likely to "like" a page that already has a lot of "likes." As most of my clients are very small businesses, this is a significant consideration as their "like" volumes are very low by default (i.e., if you only have a few hundred people who even use your business it is hard to get thousands of likes). Thanks for your opinion!
