Any plans to allow direct comparison between a selected website (client) and top competitors?
-
Hi,
I really like the SEOMoz keyword difficulty tool. It currently reports metrics between the top 10 positions. Is there any plan to introduce the facility to directly compare metrics between a selected website and that of other competing websites.
For example, a clients' website compared to the top 10 results, or compared to a number of other selected competiors websites?
Best wishes,
David

I am not aware of anything you are missing, but I have not delved into all the SEOmoz tools as much as I would like to either.

Hi Ryan,
I'm aware of the campaigns. I'm ideally looking to compare metrics as per the table layout and style of the full reports generated under the Keyword difficulty tool. I'm unaware as to whether or not the facility currently exists to do this?

Campaigns offers the ability to compare your site vs 3 competitor sites on keywords and other metrics.

Plan for Analyzing and Optimizing Internal Link Structure
I've noticed that our site has what appears to be a poor ratio of external-to-internal links. I know there are no hard and fast rules in SEO but generally I've come to understand that this ratio should be relatively balanced, and in some cases I've seen some correlation of high-performing/ranking sites closer to 70-30 (external-internal). I'm not going to get into specifics, but our ratio is well-below 50-50 (heavy on internal links compared to the volume of inbound external links). My hypothesis is that this is diluting the link equity/authority for the domain. Moz's tools don't really provide any data beyond the initial data point of the volume of internal links compared to external. Being that I've never really gone down this rabbit hole before, I'm wondering if anyone else has ever experienced anything similar and could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any assistance or guidance!

Question about Crawl Diagnostics - 4xx (Client Error) report
Hi here, I was wondering if there is a way to find out the originating page where a broken link is found from the 4xx (Client Error) report. I can't find a way to know that, and without that information is very difficult for me to fix any possible 404 related issues on my website. Any thoughts are very welcome! Thank you in advance.

Does it make sense to have multiple campaigns for one website?
I'm new to SEO and SEOMoz. While setting up my campaigns, I was a bit confused. Do I need to setup separate campaigns for different pages of my site? For example, I run a proofreading service: www.kibin.com I obviously want to track keyword on the main page (like proofreading service), however, I also want to track keywords (like 'essay editing') on www.kibin.com/essay-editing Should these be two separate campaigns or do I just put all the keywords into one campaign for kibin.com? Thanks!

Error on SEOMoz When Trying to Track Website. Please Advise
Hi, I'm trying to start a new campaign for a root domain, but I'm getting the "Roger found an error" and am not sure what to make of it. Error #1: "You've decided to set up a root domain campaign, but entered the subdomain path: www.siteurl.com. Don't worry, we'll switch that for you and crawl everything on the subdomain: www.siteurl.com. If you meant to set this up to only crawl pages in the root domain, click 'Go back and Change" and enter a root domain URL in step 1." Error #2: "Oops! The root domain siteurl.com redirects to a domain that is not within the specified root domain (www.siteurl.com). This will cause us to stop crawling as the first discovered page falls outside of the root domain you've defined. Please make sure you enter a root domain that resolves to a page that is under the root domain." What does this mean? Is there something I am doing wrong? The first error is what returned when I input www.siteurl.com. The second was returned when I put just siteurl.com. I didn't put up the exact URL for privacy reasons, but if you really do want to help me out, PM me and I can give you the real URL. Thanks in advance!

Why is open site explorer not showing the top links that if found previously.
In previous months ago open site explorer listed many other sites linking to mine. I have checked those sites and they are still linking to my site. Why doesn't open site explorer list them?
