Competing pages in the purchase funnel
-
A number of steps in my purchase funnel are competing against each other in the SERP. So wwww.exmaple.com/step1 and wwww.exmaple.com/step2 are both appearing on the SERP. What is the best course of action to stop this. Other than implementing robots.txt on wwww.exmaple.com/step2 is there anything else that I should be doing?

I'd suggest having your developer(s) add a redirect to step 1 in the case that no tracking/form information is being passed when going to wwww.exmaple.com/step2. Meaning, if I open wwww.exmaple.com/step2 from Google, information I'd have filled out in step 1 isn't present, so I'd then be redirected to wwww.exmaple.com/step1. If you don't have visitors filling out anything in step 1, you can still have a cookie passed when going to step 2. However, if I've gone through step 1, clicking on a link to step 2 will act normally. That's the best I can think of as an alternative.
Keep in mind that this is only a suggested alternative, however. I don't know enough about your funnel, process, or product to say if this would have any impact otherwise. Good luck!

Different steps on the funnel competing with each other on the SEPR
Two steps in the same funnel are both ranking and competing with each other on the SERP. So www.example.com/step1 and www.example.com/step2 are both ranking. What is the best way to deal with this? Thanks

Pages not being cached have a negative effect?
Hi all! I look after a website where it's been discovered a section of the website has the noarchive robots meta tag active on it causing it to not get cached but has been indexed. Out of curiosity has anyone seen any negative effects from Google for having pages that aren't cached? It's not the strongest section on the website so makes it tricky to judge myself but interested if anyone had any thoughts on the matter. Cheers,

According to 1 of my PRO campaigns - I have 250+ pages with Duplicate Content - Could my empty 'tag' pages be to blame?
Like I said, my one of my moz reports is showing 250+ pages with duplicate content. should I just delete the tag pages? Is that worth my time? how do I alert SEOmoz that the changes have been made, so that they show up in my next report?

Limit for words on a page?
Some SEOs might say that there is no such thing as too much good content. Do you try to limit the words on a page to under a certain number for any reason?
