Sitemap indexation

3 days ago I sent in a new sitemap for a new platform. Its 23.412 pages but until now its only 4 pages (!!) that are indexed according to the Webmaster Tools. Why so few? Our stage-enviroment got indexed (more than 50K pages) in a few days by a mistake.

Its not that complicated, it is really easy...
In Google Webmaster tools go to the Crawl/Fetch as Google. The top level will be displayed at the top of the page. Press the Fetch Button to the right.
Goolge will fetch the page and this will be displayed underneath on the same page. To the right of this line, you will see a button to submit to index. When you press this a pop up box will appear and you can select to either submit just this page or this page and all links from it. Select the all links from it. (you can only do this full crawl/submit option 10 times in a calendar month, to submit just single pages you can do this 500 times a month) and then press Submit.
Google will then submit all the pages to its index.

In regard of the error, Google crawled our https://stage.musik.dk instead of just https://musik.dk. We now have authorization on the subdomain, which gives errors in our account. I made another post about this and it seems it shouldn't harm our ranking.
Webmaster Tools is an extremely messy tool when working with various subdomains + no-http

Yeah. I've tested it several times, but with no errors. today its up on 35 indexed pages, but a loong way to go...

What do you mean by manual submit the site? Its more than 23.000 links, so a manual process is kinda of a no go

Hi,
Are you sure you submitted the right site map format / files? We've had in in the past that are sitemap was broken up into multiple files and we had to send sitemap-index.xml, sitemap-1.xml ... sitemap-16.xml. Have you checked it again and again?

No Sure what the problem was with the "by mistake"
Go to Google Webmaster tools and "manually" submit the site for the home page and all links. This will at least get the ball rolling whilst you investigate the other possible problems once you revist the sitemap etc just to check that it is complete and has not missed off a bunch of pages

Discovered - currently not indexed issues
Hi there We're having an issue with our site recently where our new blog posts are not indexing properly from Google.
Technical SEO | | Syte
Inspecting it with Google Search Console gives up the errors "Discovered - currently not indexed" and "Excluded". I.e. it seems like Google sees our sitemap but chooses not to crawl and index for some reason. Does anybody have any ideas why this might be, and what we could do to fix it?

Why is the Dev site indexing and not my actual Domain
hi guys I had 2 word press sites built but since they went live a couple of things aren't working. 1.when I do a keyword search one of the sites comes back with the actual URL and when I do another keyword search for the same site the DEV site comes back indexed and not the actual URL. 2. The other site originally started indexing with the DEV site and not the URL and the developer tried to fix it and now it doesn't index at all. Its been long enough time for it to index. Both URL's are live when put into a browser. Any advice would be great Thanks Jamie

Index problems
“The website http://www.vaneyckshutters.com/nl/ does not show in the index of Google (site:vaneyckshutters.com/nl/). This must be the homepage in the Netherlands. Previously, the page www.vaneyckshutters.com was redirected to /nl/. This page is accessible now with a canonical tag to http://www.vaneyckshutters.com/nl/ in the hope to let /nl/ be indexed. When we look at the SERPS for keyword ‘shutters’, the page http://www.vaneyckshutters.com/ is shown in Google.nl on #32 and in Belgium #3. Problem & question: Why is it that /nl/ has not been indexed properly and why is it that we rank with http://www.vaneyckshutters.com on ‘shutters’ instead the/nl/ page?”

Should We Index These Category Pages?
Currently we have marked category pages like http://www.yournextshoes.com/celebrities/kim-kardashian/ as follow/noindex as they essentially do not include any original content. On the other hand, for someone searching for Kim Kardashian shoes, it's a highly relevant page as we provide links to all the Kim Kardashian shoe sightings that we have covered. Should we index the category pages or leave them unindexed?

Index inactive mobile site?
Hi, I have a question wrt Mobile version of a site. Previously, we had a mobile site which is no longer active and there are possibilities of resurrecting it in future, so we have a 302 redirect which points to the homepage (desktop version). Currently, the mobile site is indexed by the search engines. To avoid the duplicate content issue, is it recommended to use robots.txt and block the spiders from mobile content or apply 301 redirect until the mobile site is up and running, OR continue with the 302 redirect. Google Indexing
Hi Everybody, I am having kind of an issue when it comes to the results Google is showing on my site. I have a multilingual site, which is main language is Catalan. But of course if I am looking results in Spanish (google.es) or in English (google.com) I want Google to show the results with the proper URL, title and descriptions. My brand is "Vallnord" so if you type this in Google you will be displayed the result in Catalan (Which is not optimized at all yet) but if you search "vallnord.com/es" only then you will be displayed the result in Spanish What do I have to do in order for Google to read this the way I want? Is this 404 page indexed?
I have a URL that when searched for shows up in the Google index as the first result but does not have any title or description attached to it. When you click on the link it goes to a 404 page. Is it simply that Google is removing it from the index and is in some sort of transitional phase or could there be another reason.
