Combine two websites or keep them separate after Penguin 3 ranking drop and gain
-
Since 1995 we had one website which combined our wedding and portrait photography business.(website A)
Three years ago we created a new website and new domain name for the portrait photography side. (website B)
We did not delete the portrait information from website A. Both sites were ranking well on page one. After Penguin 3 website B is no longer ranking at all.
Website A is still ranking well and one of the original portrait pages on the website A is now ranking on page one also.
I am wondering what to do and considering the below options:
1. Should I go back to a combined wedding and portrait site? (and delete website B)
2. Should I create a "301" from the original portrait page on website A that is now ranking, to website B that is no longer ranking, and delete all portrait content from website A?
3. Will having a combined wedding and portrait site be harder to rank as they are competing against each other, or will they help each other rank?
Any comments or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

The shortest and simple answer to that is forget website B and stick to website A combining or 301ing both website will hurt the reputation of website A as well.
Hope this helps!

Should I keep a website which is outdated or close it down? It has a few links. If I keep it can I redirect people to our newer site?
We are in the process of buying some intellectual property, and it's websites are very dated and only have around 5 external links each. What's the best course of action? Do we close down the sites; then redirect the urls to our current website, or do we leave the sites up, but redirect people to our new site. Reference: current website: www.psychometrics.com Old sites that come with the intellectual property: http://www.eri.com/ plus http://www.hrpq.com/ Thanks, Dan Costigan

Authority site drastic ranking drop after google https switch. Please Help!
Hi Mozers. Since Google switched to the https version, our company website (http://we.register.it) indexing switched to the https version (https://www.register.it). After that the ranking on Google dropped for almost every keyword. The site is very old and got a great authority and PR 7. It ranked for same keywords for very long time On each page from years there is the correct meta rel canonical. No spam, and WMT is ok. Could you please help? The internal links are all in http, and in https. If you are https are in https (they are all relatives) No changes have been made and the subdomain is in that way from 8 years: the main url has always been http://we.register.it Google started this indexing switch around the 15 October

Optimizing Flash websites
Does anyone know the latest on how well Google is indexing flash sites? I'm talking to a prospect now whose site is 100% flash, but looking at it all the content within the site is indexed and returning in the results. This is promising enough, but does anyone know exactly how well Google is indexing flash content these days and are there still any problems with that? Thanks!

Website IP Location
My main target audience is in the UK, but my website's IP is in the United States. Would it be worthwhile to change the IP to a UK address? How would I go about that? Thanks!

Domain name with separated/non-separated keywords
I start a new webshop within a month about spices and coffee. I'm thinking about the domain name to take. I would like to get visitors from coffee and spice keyword searches. How much does it matter (in terms of SEO) if I use spiceandcoffee instead of spice-and-coffee? (The site will be hungarian and it sounds easy to remember without the hypen: fuszer-es-kave or fuszereskave.) Does Google weighing more separated keywords in domain, instead of non-separated?
