I broke Google! (random snippet appearing in non-personalized search)
-
Hello all, so either I broke Google or Google doesn't know how to index my page properly (onradpad.com/paymyrent). If you search "pay rent with credit card", whether you're logged in to Google or not, you'll see a snippet from our signup process (which is js) right under the ad slot in the serps (Awesome! You're signed up!) and it will repeat where my meta data should be. It's been like this for well over a month now and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Additionally, if you search for the branded title of the page "pay with radpad", it pulls language that's not on that page (perhaps from somewhere in the js signup form). Though if you search for "pay rent with radpad" you'll see what my meta description is supposed to look like in the serps.
Any ideas as to what the heck is going on?

I would suggest moving your h2 tag to something else. The engines pull what they feel is the most relevant item from your page. Your h2 tag is "Awesome, you're signed up" so the engines think this is the second most relevant item on the page.
http://www.onradpad.com/ask-radpad/can-i-pay-rent-with-a-credit-card/ - This is the page that surfaces with weird language when you search "pay with radpad". This is because of the text on the page that is linked elsewhere. If you look in the second paragraph, the phrase is underlined and taller than the other text, telling the search engine it is more relevant. It is a link to your payment page, which is why there is weird text attached to it in the SERP.
Since the engines pull the information they feel is most relevant to exactly what it typed in by the searcher, you kind of have to make sure that the h tags and text on the page are targeting exactly what you think will be searched. I would move the h2 tag and make the text on your link look the same as the text on the page, it should help you get your meta description showing instead of content. You can also add the key terms here to your meta description. That will also help avoid content out ranking the description.

No related searches
Does anyone have any insight as to why a site wouldn't show any results when using this google search operator:

Big Increase in 404 Errors after Google Custom Search Engine Install on Website
My URL is: http://www.furniturefashion.comHi forum.I recently installed a Custom Google Search Engine (https://www.google.com/cse/) on my blog about ten days ago. Since then my 404 errors in Webmaster Tools has skyrocketed by several thousand. I had not had an issue before. Once it was installed the 404 errors started appearing. What's interesting is that all the errors have the URL then the word "undefined" at the end. I have attached a screen shot from my Webmaster Tools dashboard. Also, there are a few examples below of what the URLs are that have the 404 errors.wood_closet_organizer_to_improve_space_utilization/undefinedsmall-sweet-10-inspiring-small-kitchen-designs/undefined Has anyone had this issue? I very much want the search engine on my site, but not at the expense of several thousand 404 errors. My site queries has been going down since the installation of the custom search engine. Here is some of the code that I have below that I took off my site doing a "view source". Any help would be greatly appreciated.href='http://cdn.furniturefashion.com/wp-content/plugins/google-custom-search/css/smoothness/jquery-ui-1.7.3.custom.css?ver=3.9.2' type='text/css' media='all' />rel='stylesheet' id='gsc_style_search_bar-css' href='http://www.google.com/cse/style/look/minimalist.css?ver=3.9.2' type='text/css' media='all' />rel='stylesheet' id='gsc_style_search_bar_more-css' href='http://cdn.furniturefashion.com/wp-content/plugins/google-custom-search/css/gsc.css?ver=3.9.2' type='text/css' media='all' />< uXRSEkC

Google is ranking the wrong page
We are trying to figure out why google is ranking the wrong page for the key word motorcycle tires. We have a few ideas but are not sure yet. If you do a search for Motorcycle Tires you will see site on page 2 or top of 3; however, the page will be going to our dirt bike tires page (http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/t/44/86/176/742/Dirt-Bike-Tires-All) not our Motorcycle page (http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/t/49/-/181/750/Motorcycle-Tires-All) any thoughts? We think we know why but want others opinions too.

Is this against google rules
Hi i am wanting to know if this is against google rules. I am building a website which will have lots of different sections and i wanted to know if you were allowed to have a new domain name pointing to a section of the site. so for example if i had a site with a domain name of manchester and then i wanted a section of the site to be called www.manchester.com/complimentary health I want to know if to help with traffic to the site and to have a better domain name, if it was allowed to have a new domain name pointing to that section of the site which could be called www.complimentaryhealth.com and have that pointing to the section. would love to hear your thoughts on this

Post for last three years not visible in google search
Hi, just posted this on google webmaster, and thought I'd post it here for ideas as well: When using the search term site:www.thebudgetfashionista.com with the exception of the homepage the only results that come up are from three years ago. We are not sure whats going on, but other symptoms include:
Technical SEO | | simplygoodmedia
A drastic reduction of our crawl rate (via google webmaster)
A reduction in traffic from google searches (via analytics)
We first noticed it after a pronouced downward trend after the most recent agolrithm was released Recent activities include:
Fixing crawl errors in GW with 301 redirects
Optimizing older URLs and creating redirects for those. Any hints of suggestion of what might be the problem what greatly be appreciated0
