Is there a way to index important pages manually or to make sure a certain page will get indexed in a short period of time??
-
Hi There!
The problem I'm having is that certain pages are waiting already three months to be indexed. They even have several backlinks. Is it normal to have to wait more than three months before these pages get an indexation? Is there anything i can do to make sure these page will get an indexation soon?
Greetings
Bob

Hi Jimmy,
It seems that the page is not indexed yet. I fetched the page again and this time it said succesful. Now the URL is tagged to index, so i will notice tomorrow if the page is getting indexed. Thank you very much for your help!
Greetings

Hi Bob,
Is the page currently partially indexed or not at all now?
What is the exact message Google says about the livechat?
If the on-page code is causing problems then the good advice from Ben won't help until it is resolved.Kind Regards

Hi there
I answered a question a few minutes ago with the same layout, so don't be offended if you run across these suggestions again!
Here are some suggestions to help the process:
- Check your server responses
- Check your robots.txt and meta tags
- Verify your site in Google & Bing Webmaster Tools
- Check and see if there are any issues in Webmaster Tools
- Update your sitemap and upload it to Google & Bing Webmaster Tools
- Make sure your site is crawlable for Googlebot
- Google also crawls through inbound links to your site - take a look at your Local SEO for some potentially quick and easy wins
- Check your internal links to make sure they are follow
Running through those should help you find the issue rather quickly - hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for your answering the question I stated above. What i forgot to tell in my story is that I already fetched as Google but the page only gets partially indexed. Since then, the situation hasn't changed and the page doesn't get's an indexation. Google says our livechat tool Zopim (type AJAX) blocks the crawling while other pages do get succesfully fetched while having the same tool.

Are the backlinks from external pages, rather than internal? If you can get an external backlink or two pointing at the page that may help indexation speed. The easiest - but least reliable for ensuring indexation - way would be to mention the new page on social media from a few accounts including Google +.

Hi,
If you do a 'Fetch as Google' in Google Webmasters Tools (under the Crawl menu) there is a submit to index button once it successfully finds the page.
Kind Regards
Jimmy

Will Google still ignore the second instance of anchor text on a page if it has an H2 tag on it?
We have a page set up that has anchor text with header tags. There is an instance where the same anchor text is on the page twice linking to the same page, and I know that Google will ignore the second instance. But in the second instance it also had an H2 tag (which I removed and put it on the first instance of anchor text even though it's smaller). Is this good practice?

Need Help On Proper Steps to Take To De-Index Our Search Results Pages
So, I have finally decided to remove our Search Results pages from Google. This is a big dealio, but our traffic has consistently been declining since 2012 and it's the only thing I can think of. So, the reason they got indexed is back in 2012, we put linked tags on our product pages, but they linked to our search results pages. So, over time we had hundreds of thousands of search results pages indexed. By tag pages I mean: Keywords: Kittens, Doggies, Monkeys, Dog-Monkeys, Kitten-Doggies Each of these would be linked to our search results pages, i.e. http://oursite.com/Search.html?text=Kitten-Doggies So, I really think these pages being indexed are causing much of our traffic problems as there are many more Search Pages indexed than actual product pages. So, my question is... Should I go ahead and remove the links/tags on the product pages first? OR... If I remove those, will Google then not be able to re-crawl all of the search results pages that it has indexed? Or, if those links are gone will it notice that they are gone, and therefore remove the search results pages they were previously pointing to? So, Should I remove the links/tags from the product page (or at least decrease them down to the top 8 or so) as well as add the no-follow no-index to all the Search Results pages at the same time? OR, should I first no-index, no-follow ALL the search results pages and leave those tags on the product pages there to give Google a chance to go back and follow those tags to all of the Search Results pages so that it can get to all of those Search Results pages in order to noindex,. no follow them? Otherwise will Google not be able find these pages? Can someone comment on what might be the best, safest, or fastest route? Thanks so much for any help you might offer me!! Craig So, I wanted to see if you have a suggestion on the best way to handle it? Should I remove the links/tags from the product page (or at least decrease them down to the top 8 or so) as well as add the no-follow no-index to all the Search Results pages at the same time? Indexing pages content that is not needed
Hi All, I have a site that has articles and a side block that shows interesting articles in a column block. While we google for a keyword i can see the page but the meta description is picked from the side block "interesting articles" and not the actual article in the page. How can i deny indexing that block alone Thanks

Best way to deal with over 1000 pages of duplicate content?
Hi Using the moz tools i have over a 1000 pages of duplicate content. Which is a bit of an issue! 95% of the issues arise from our news and news archive as its been going for sometime now. We upload around 5 full articles a day. The articles have a standalone page but can only be reached by a master archive. The master archive sits in a top level section of the site and shows snippets of the articles, which if a user clicks on them takes them to the full page article. When a news article is added the snippets moves onto the next page, and move through the page as new articles are added. The problem is that the stand alone articles can only be reached via the snippet on the master page and Google is stating this is duplicate content as the snippet is a duplicate of the article. What is the best way to solve this issue? From what i have read using a 'Meta NoIndex' seems to be the answer (not that i know what that is). from what i have read you can only use a canonical tag on a page by page basis so that going to take to long. Thanks Ben

My beta site (beta.website.com) has been inadvertently indexed. Its cached pages are taking traffic away from our real website (website.com). Should I just "NO INDEX" the entire beta site and if so, what's the best way to do this? Please advise.

Once we make changes to our site is there a way to force the engines to re-crawl it faster?
After we implement canonicals URLs, or make some other significant change to our site that is going to impact our SEO, is there a way to force Google or other search engines to re-index us faster? Would manually re-submitting a sitemap do this?

Paging Links Code - Best Way?
Currently we are using previous 1 2 3 next for our link to other inventory pages, with some variation of this javascript code javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$phMain$dlPagesTop$ctl01$lnkPageTop','') . Can search engines even index the other pages with this javascript? Is there a better way to do this?
