Should I worry about backlinks like this?
-
So I am going through my backlink profile and of course those random backlinks popup from spammy type sites like this which are useless. Should I worry about links that come from sites like these?
-
HI Cesar
If you're worried about them you could always use the dissavow tool. The truth is we can never be in total control of backlinks as anyone can link to a website. Automated tools pull in content from Blogs, RSS etc. As long as your profile isn't biased to the Dark Side I wouldn't worry too much.
Keep an eye on it and use the dissavow tool if required.

Hi,
We too are getting traffic from spammy sites. You can download the spam report from Open Site Explorer - Spam Analysis and submit to Google.
Hope this helps.

Domain authority vs. anchor text in backlinks
Hi - I launched a new blog ~3 months ago and I've managed to get some backlinks from Yahoo, Cnet, Huffington Post, Gimodo, etc. I created some compelling and unique content. However, all of the anchor text of all of the links is mywebsite.com or mywebsite. None of them are the actual keywords I want such as "this website is great for keyword blah and keyword blah" My question is....could I get more "juice" from these links if they had more specific anchor text or is their high domain authority enough as far as google is concerned?

Backlink Audit
Hello, I have a quick question for the MOZ readers about my companies current backlink audit. We've noticed many of the backlinks that the Google Webmaster Tool has found come from websites that are no longer in existence or have error messages. Are these websites counting negatively against us or should we ignore them? Thanks! Alex Rubin

How Many Backlinks Per Day
I am starting to do some manual back-linking for a medium competition word with high traffic. I plan to start back linking with like niche blogs with non spam comments, like niche directories, like niche forums, and guest blogging. My domain is over 3 years old and ranks for multiple keywords, but I'm going to concentrate specifically on this keyword, but need to know how many links to back-link a day. Again none of these will be spam, but will be of real quality. I was thinking 10-20 a day, but unsure.

Also, same question for forums: I've registered for several high pr forums and competed the registration with a BBCode signature. What is the url for that backlink if I submitted it to a indexing service? Thanks in advance.0 -

On-Page Report Rel Canonical and keyword density and backlinks...
Hey guys, 1- In the On-Page Report the "Appropriate Use of Rel Canonical" is not checked and it says <dl> <dt>Canonical URL "http://www.mydomain.com/"</dt> <dt>We check to make sure that IF you use canonical URL tags, it points to the right page. If the canonical tag points to a different URL, engines will not count this page as the reference resource and thus, it won't have an opportunity to rank.</dt> <dt>the domain points to the right page... Im not understading why its checked off..??? could it be because the canonical url has the ".com/" instead of just ".com" ???</dt> <dt>2- it also shows that the Total Keyword Usage for this Page = 33 , is this good or bad? too little or too much?</dt> <dt>3- Also when building backlinks should I include the ".com/" or ".com" ??</dt> <dt>Thank you in advance! </dt> </dl>
