Google how deal with licensed content when this placed on vendor & client's website too. Will Google penalize the client's site for this ?
-
One of my client bought licensed content from top vendor of Health Industry.
This same content is on the vendor's website & my client's site also but on my site there is a link back to vendor is placed which clearly tells to anyone that this is a licensed content & we bought from this vendor.
My client bought paid top quality content for best source of industry but at this same this is placed on vendor's website also. Will Google penalize my client's website for this ?
Niche is HEALTH

DA is Moz's estimate of the importance of domains in relation to each other. Google does this themselves, so it's not that they "see" DA, but they have something similar.
As long as you don't expect the content from the vendor to bring you organic traffic, you should be okay. You said you have the canonical in place to them, so as long as that is there, there should be no impact from algorithm updates. You wouldn't be penalized for this.

Thanks Stramark for your answer. So, I am feeling from your expert advice this is not bad at all to buy content from them.
We already did & doing things as you mentioned
-
Canonical tag
-
Good & creative website design
-
Regularly updating the content in website via Blog section
-
Content bought only for specfic section of website so rest of content is original & written by us
But our DA is 55 & Vendor's DA is 94 . Is this a reason worrry for us because Vendor's have more high reputation than us. Is DA a metric for us or Google will also see this ?

As long as you do not overdo the content spinning (that is the word you are looking for) Say 10 or more copies of the same content and it is on purpose you will not be in trouble.
The worst thing that can happen in this case is that the vendor of the content gets the credit for the content. This can happen but often google cannot or does not know what was first. Even with the link to the original content you might come up in google very high (and higher than the vendor) on specifick keywords.
And, you did everything you could to credit the original website. Make sure you have a good maintained website with it's own design and that not all content is from this vendor (add your own articles and content)
If you want to prevent your website for getting any value from it you could add a canonical tag. (but i would not do that)

My company bought another company. How long do I keep the purchased company's site live?
How long do I wait before redirecting the purchased company's webpages to the equivalent pages on our site? Do I need to keep some sort of announcement about the merger live on their website for a while first?

What's the best way for users to upload their images to my wordpress site to promote UGC
I have looked at lots of different plugins and wanted a recommendation for an easy way for patients of ours to upload pictures of them out partying and having fun and looking beautiful so future users can see the final results instead of sometimes gory or difficult to understand before and after images. I'd like to give them the opportunity to write captions (like facebook or insta posts and would offer them incentives to do so. I don't want it to be too complicated for them or have too many steps or barriers but I do want it to look nice and slick and modern. Also do you think this would have a positive impact on SEO? I was also thinking of a Q&A app where dentists could get Q&A emails and respond - i've been doing AMA sessions and they've been really successful and I would like to bring it into out site and make it native. Thanks in advance 🙂

If I'm using a compressed sitemap (sitemap.xml.gz) that's the URL that gets submitted to webmaster tools, correct?
I just want to verify that if a compressed sitemap file is being used, then the URL that gets submitted to Google, Bing, etc and the URL that's used in the robots.txt indicates that it's a compressed file. For example, "sitemap.xml.gz" -- thanks!

SEMRush's Site Audit Tool "SEO Ideas"
Recently SEMRush added a feature to its site audit tool called "SEO Ideas." In the case of specific the site I'm looking at it with, it's ideas consist mostly of suggesting words to add to the page for the page/my phrase(s) to perform better. It suggests this even when the term(s) or phrases(s) it's looking at are #1. Has anybody used this tool for this or something similar and found it to be valuable and if so how valuable? The reason I ask is that it would be a fair amount of work to go through these pages and find ways to add the select words and phrases and, frankly, it feels kind of 2005 to me. Your thoughts? Thanks... Darcy

Google Custom Site Search
I am an admin on a google custom site search account. I am also the owner of a verified webmaster tools account for the same site. The Custom Search control panel will not let me add URL's or a Site map for on demand indexing, but says "you must submit a sitemap of your own verified sites". Has anyone else has this issue? Does the Owner of the custom search account have to be the owner of the webmaster account, or can the logged in admin be? Thanks
