Performed a Moz Crawl Test - Says I have 107 External Links on Homepage??
-
Hello Mozzers!
Exactly at the title suggests, I performed a crawl test on one our sites and the report says we have 107 external links on the homepage and another 34 on one of our internal category pages.
On both of these pages I can only find 7 external links, anyone know why the crawl test is saying this?
And if Moz is finding these external links could google be doing the same and punishing our site for the high number of external links?
Any response appreciated!
Richard

Ha thanks for that.
I read all over about these external links and everything seemed to point the same way that they were links pointing out over.
A reword in the description of the crawl test categories I think is needed!
Thanks again - Problem solved!

Richard,
I ran a test and only found 6 or 7 external links like yourself. I think you may be getting slightly confused.
Are you talking about colum AO (External Links) in a moz crawler report download? If so this doesn't refer to external links pointing off your page. It refers to external links pointing into that page.
I think theres an older post somewhere on here about it.

Yup found it! Staff confirm my beliefs.
Hope that helps!

Will Removing or Disavowing Toxic Links Improve MOZ Domain Authority?
The vast majority of the 140 domains that link to our website are very low quality directories or and other toxic links. Only about 20-30 domains are not toxic (according to Link Research Tools confirmed by out manual inspection of these links). Would removing some of these links improve of MOZ Domain Rank? What if we cannot remove them, can NOZ detect a disavow file? In general would improving the ratio between good quality and poor quality links improve domain authority? Thanks,

Moz Pro: Redirect Chain warning given to pages that don't have redirects
When I look up crawl errors for a page, I'm always told the page suffers from redirect chaining. However, when I do a redirect check (in this case, using the Redirect Path Chrome extension), it indicates that my page does not use a redirect. Why would Moz detect redirects, while no other redirect checker resource does? For example, this URL gets Moz's redirect chain warning: https://www.aem.org/news/january-2018/5-reasons-iot-projects-fail/ But there is no redirect associated with this URL.

Moz Bar doesn't show any data and keeps asking me to log in when actually I'm logged in.
Hi all, I've been using Moz Bar for years. It ran well until about three weeks ago. It suddenly failed to show the DA and PA of sites that I open after I log in. And it keeps asking me to log in when I did. I tried to uninstall the Mozbar extension and reinstalled it several times. Nothing worked. I also tried to uninstall Chrome and clear the cookies, still, nothing changed. Did anyone experience this? How do you solve it and make it run on the track? Any information will be appreciated. Connect to Google Analytics problem (Moz Analytics)
Hello - I recently received the Beta invite to Moz Analytics (very excited). I set up the campaign for our primary site and entered our Google Analytics profile - however, Moz does not seem to accept the profile when I click the "Save" button. All of our profiles are listed w/in the drop-down menu, but after selecting the profile we wish to link/connect to - nothing happens. So we're not receiving any stats w/in Moz from our GA acct. Please help. I'm really anxious to begin delving into Moz Analytics! Thanks
