Helping finding a link
-
Hi
So Ive done a crawl of the site using screaming frog.
There are a few old category and sub category pages which don't exist any more but somehow the crawler is finding them. An example is below:
http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Home-Appliances/cat/Health-&-Beauty/subcat/Male-Grooming
Just wondering if anybody had any ideas about how I could go and find these urls and remove them off the site.
Any ideas would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Hi!
There is one link to this category from http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Home-Appliances/cat/Health-&-Beauty in the category text on the top. The text is not styled in anyway, but the link text is "hair grooming kits for men".
Chris' suggestion for Screaming frog is one way about it. OpenSiteExplorer also does the trick, looking for inbound links, and perhaps narrowing to internal links.
Hope this helps

Hi Andy,
The bottom tab of screaming frog there is one called "in links" From there it will tell you where the links are coming from to get to that page. Its then just a matter of going to that page and looking for them (ctrl+f)
Hope that helps.
edit
okay Just to go in a bit deeper you've obviously got that as a 302 redirect (I'd swap that to a 301) so thats a bit down to the CMS but you can also find out any links pointing to the urls to work out any juice etc. e.g. that one has links from dig.do. Obviously crawling just that url doesn't tell you the in links but crawling the whole site should reveal internal links that are pointing there if any.
Let me know if it all works out.

Back Link Question
Hi Folks, Our domain (www.alabu.com) has been around since 2000. We've accumulated a lot of back links over the years, many of which I don't recognize and didn't ask for. I've been reading on here recently about "cleaning up" back links. I do see a lot of ours that just aren't relevant and I don't know why they decided to link to us. We haven't gotten a warning from google or anything like that, but I wonder, how do I know if we could benefit from cleaning up our back links? Is there a benefit to it even if google hasn't warned us? Thanks! Hal

No crawl code for pages of helpful links vs. no follow code on each link?
Our college website has many "owners" who want pages of "helpful links" resulting in a large number of outbound links. If we add code to the pages to prevent them from being crawled, will that be just as effective as making every individual link no follow?

How do find where a 301 redirect is located
My report says I have http://www.30minuteseder.com/Passover.blog redirected to http://30minuteseder.com/Passover.blog. It is correct, but I can't find where the 301 redirect is located. I looked in my .htaccess file in the root and it's not there. How do I find it so I can change it?

Linking Domains in Open Site Explorer Report No Longer Exist. Help.
Hello to all, I have a number of Linking Domains on our Open Site Explorer Report that no longer exist. I've run URL checks on just a sample of the list, and found that approx. 35% of that sample are from now dead Linking Domains. Can someone help? If these Linking Domains are defunct, how can I remove these? Does Google reflect negatively on these dead Linking Domains in our SERPs? Has anyone experienced this before? What action did you take?

Penalized by google. How to find out?
Our webpage performs very bad on some keywords relating to one product. At the SeoMoz-ranking page i can se we are number 9 but we have the highest (higher than our competitors) rating in almost every category (at least 25 of 30) on the keyword difficulty report. How do i find out why this is so, or if we have been penalized by google? On other search-engines (yahoo, bing etc) we are number one! And we have the highest pagerank among the competitors...
