Facebook targeting on Organic
-
Hi
I am fully aware of how to do facebook paid advertising but I follow a page called:
https://www.facebook.com/GiveMeSport/
They know that I am a Liverpool fan (might a filled out a survey once or some other way, but they know I support the greatest football team on the planet) however they only ever show me Liverpool articles in my feed and they are organic. They post a lot more but i never see any of it.
Does anyone know how they are able to do this as I would love to segment people on my site and target them accordingly.
Thanks in Advance
Andy

Hi
I figured it out, its in demographics - will try out later and see what difference in results I get.
Image below, but basically click on Demographics before you post
But you do need a certain number of Facebook likes it does seem as some of the smaller pages I manage I get do this.

There is a good blog article on it here : http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/facebook-organic-post-targeting/
Doesn't say anything about only large pages having access to do it so you might be able to do it with a small amount of followers as well.

From what I understand Facebook gives pages with over a large number of likes/followers the option to target their posts.
I think your page has to have over 5,000 likes (could be wrong)
I don't do a large amount of Facebook posting or advertising myself so someone with more knowledge might be able to shed more light on it but that is what I know

Facebook won't spend my ad budget. Any recommendations?
What do you do when Facebook won't spend your ad budget, no matter what you do or how high you bid? We've tested a large audience (2.2 million reach) under a single ad set versus many smaller ad sets with tighter targeting (50-150k reach). We've tested auto bidding versus manual bidding with bids as high as 1000% higher than Facebook's recommended bid. We've tested many versions of creative with and without text overlay and our relevance scores are high. Nothing seems to work. Our Facebook rep and Facebook technical support keep recommending to stay with one ad set and one ad, but that's not spending either. Most days we are getting less than 20% budget utilization. Has anyone experienced this situation before? Does anyone have any recommendations?

Facebook City Places Pages
I would like to know how a business with multiple geographic locations can be listed on the Facebook City Page for each of it's separate office locations? Would you need to list the address of each office on the business' Facebook Business Page? Is it even possible to list more than one address per Facebook Business Page? Thanks!

Facebook Admins
Hello, Can you give admin status to a user, that doesn't give them the ability to remove other admins. This would be editor or contributor in wordpress. The concern here is that an admin can delete the other admins. IF ATT gave admin to a disgruntled employee, they could lose a page for some time. Thanks

Social Media valuable for organic rankings?
Is there a link between ranking higher in organic search rankings and having a good social media presence. I think there is, the more likes and followers you have the better. The real question is how to you utilise it, do you regulary share content, put keywords in the share info for the ones you want to rank, how best can you utilise social media to help in organic search? I suspect social noise is used towards some kind of overall quality score in the search engines.

What's up with the #! in twitter & Facebook URL's?
I was just wondering why Facebook and now Twitter have added "#!" into the url structure? Does this mean we should link to a twitter profile like this - twitter.com/profile - anymore? Should we now be linking like this: twitter.com/#!/kevinbarnes Kevin
