How do you embed a YouTube video in a mobile version?
-
I want the video to be compatible on all mobile phones (Android, iPhone, Blackberry....).
-
Mmhh.... on your mentioned link they write "... will eventually allow embeds to work on mobile devices" .... in my case they don't allow apparently.
But thank you for your time anyway

I thought the purpose of the iframe version was to detect whether the device needed Flash or HTML 5 and serve up either?
http://apiblog.youtube.com/2010/07/new-way-to-embed-youtube-videos.html
I see there that it's only aiming to be compatible with native players for mobile devices. I guess it's still not 100% if there's an ad to be served before the video (although that was a year ago).
The iframe embed would seem to be 'upgradeable' (in so much as it'll eventually include mobile support), but I don't think there'll be a way around it just now if it's not working. Certainly can't find anything else about it
-
On Android it is not working with iframe because it is not supporting flash as far as I know ...
-
Just use the iframe embed, no?
Or am I underthinking it? What devices doesn't the iframe embed work on?

Redesigned and Migrated Website - Lost Almost All Organic Traffic - Mobile Pages Indexing over Normal Pages
We recently redesigned and migrated our site from www.jmacsupply.com to https://www.jmac.com It has been over 2 weeks since implementing 301 redirects, and we have lost over 90% of our organic traffic. Google seems to be indexing the mobile versions of our pages over our website pages. We hired a designer to redesign the site, and we are confident the code is doing something that is harmful for ranking our website. F or Example: If you google "KEEDEX-K-DS-FLX38" You should see our mobile page ranking: http://www.jmac.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=KEEDEX-K-DS-FLX38 but the page that we want ranked (and we think should be, is https://www.jmac.com/Keedex_K_DS_FLX38_p/keedex-k-ds-flx38.htm) That second page isn't even indexed. (When you search for: "site:jmac.com Keedex K-DS-FLX38") We have implemented rel canonical, and rel alternate both ways. What are we doing wrong??? Thank you in advance for any help - it is much appreciated.

How to delete video rich snippets?
Hi mozzaholics, At first I was very happy to have video snippets appear in Google (200 pages), but now after 6 months I see a drop of almost -30% in traffic, whilst the average rank stayed the same, compared to the star snippets I have for other pages. So I want to remove the video snippets and have the old rich snippets back. I tried removing the videositemap and google's the structured data tool doesn't show video snippets. Does anybody know what else I can do to remove the video snippets? Is there anybody who succeeded deleting them? Please share your wisdom. Ivo

Switchboard Tags - Multiple desktop pages pointing to one mobile page
I have recently started to implement switchboard tags to connect our mobile and desktop pages, and to ensure that our mobile pages show up in rankings for mobile users. Because our desktop site is much deeper in content than our mobile site, there are a number of desktop pages we would like to have point to one mobile page. However, with the switchboard tags, this poses a problem because it requires multiple rel=canonical tags to be placed on the one mobile page. I'm assuming this will either confuse the search engines, or they will choose to ignore the rel=canonical tag altogether. Any ideas on how to approach this situation other than creating an equivalent mobile version of every desktop page or implementing a user agent detection redirect?

Wrong page version in the index
Hi, my site is currently accessible through URL with and without www. The Version with www has 10 times more Backlinks (PA 45 vs 38) but is not listet into the google Index. As far as I know there was never made a google Webmaster account or declared otherwise the version without www to be 'cannonical'. Basically I think that for SEO reasons it would be much better to declare the with www version to be cannonical and redirect the without www version to it. My questions are: Do you have an idea why the with www version is not indexed?

Mobile Domain Setup
Hi, If I want to serve a subset of pages on my mobile set from my desktop site or the content is significantly different, i.e. it is not one to one or pages are a summarised version of the desktop, should I use m.site.com or is it still better to use site.com? Many thanks any help appreciated.
