Does Domain Authority remian if site owner and server changes
-
Hi i am looking at buying an existing domain. It is currently vacant and the site is just on a godaddy holdpage.
if i buy this domain, will its DA and PA TF CF still remain if we don't lose the links?
thanks
-
I agree, you shouldn't lose much if any on DA and PA, but if you are on a GoDaddy holding page you will start losing those links. I'm sure you realize the need to get some relevant content up there fast
-
To clarify some other bits as I'm aware what your thought process is. I want you to firstly remember DA,Trust flow etc. etc. is just a measure and isn't Google, Google is aware of domain transfers and/or content changes on a domain. This means Google can/will change the 'value' of the domains when brought and used. Now for a simpler tool like Moz which just looks at links etc. (Moz is more complicated than this I'm just simplifying) it will still see the links and not so much the change of ownership/content etc. meaning it won't reflect some of the above.
Bare the in mind.

Ok. That explains it. I'm not familiar with Majestic. As far as DA and PA go though, you will retain your scores.

hi
Sorry trust flow and citation flow metrics from Majestic and domain authority and page authority from MOZ
-
In a word; Yes, these will stay the same. However, these changes could result in a slight drop in DA, not significant though. A member of the Moz staff will be able to confirm. Probably a little dumb, but what is CF and TF, can't think.

When creating a sub-domain, does that sub-domain automatically start with the DA of the main domain?
We have a website with a high DA and we are considering sub-folder or sub-domain. One of the great benefits of a sub-folder is that we know we get to keep the high DA, is this also the case for sub-domains? Also if you could provide any sources of information that specify this, I can't see to find anything!

Would changing the file name of an image (not the alt attribute) have an effect of on seo / ranking of that image and thus the site?
Would changing the file name of image, not the alt attribute nor the image itself (so it would be exactly the same but just a name change) have any effect on : a) A sites seo ranking b) the individual images seo ranking (although i guess if b) would be true it would have an effect on a) although potentially small.) This is the sort of change i would be thinking of making : ![Red ford truck](2554.jpg) changed to ![Red ford truck](6842.jpg)

Domain Authority? Why is it declining according to Moz?
So I know what good SEO is, I am performing very well for this client but for some reason Moz Pro is saying their domain authority is declining with each index? Anything I can look into specifically to stop this from happening?

Rebranding/Changing the name of an established domain in order to target a bigger market?
So let's say I have a site called "ToyotaParts.com" that has good SEO metrics and is ranking highly for keywords like "toyota tires", "toyota battery", etc.... What if I decide that I wanna target other cars as well with my site and keywords like "mazda tires", yet still want to take advantage of my domain's existing authority... Can I do something like get a new domain like "carparts.com" and redirect the old domain to it and then continue to create new pages that would target new keywords, or would I risk losing my current domain's authority or running into other seo issues? Thanks a lot

New Site: Use Aged Domain Name or Buy New Domain Name?
Hi,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | peterwhitewebdesign
I have the opportunity to build a new website and use a domain name that is older than 5 years or buy a new domain name. The aged domain name is a .net and includes a keyword.
The new domain would include the same keyword as well as the U.S. state abbreviation. Which one would you use and why? Thanks for your help!0 -

Strategies to compete with a new domain/site
Hi all, What would be ( highlights ) your strategy in order to rank and compete with a new domain against competitors that have an average of 50% domain authority and around 2000 root domain linking to them, if you would start with a completely new website/domain? How long would you estimate the new site to be competitive? In the retail area. Working on it a month full time I would go with On page SEO off course, detailling each products and building the internal link structure Get back links, backlinks, backlinks and... backlinks... Build the social media network feed a blog Thanks for your input Considering working on the site for a month full time, I would estimate a ranking after a month or 2 although the competitions very high. Your thoughts ?
