SEO Moz Says I have Multiple Page Title Elements
-
I am getting this recommendation from page grader. I recently added Yoast to my site. Can you confirm that I really have multiple title tags because my seo guy says it is fine and it is just a problem with the crawl.
I think I see it on line 18 and line 125 am I correct?

Hi there Lisa - Andrea with the Moz Help Team here. So if I pull up your site yes, I am seeing the title tags at 18 as well as carrying over from Yoast on 125. There's a great article here on multiple page title and description tags, and should be a relatively easy thing to fix!

I wouldn't be too concerned, the Moz crawler acts differently than how Google perceives your site.
If you are worried, Google this - site:urbanforestprofessionals.com and check each page title to see if there are duplicates. Or in your crawl report check the pages, pass them onto your SEO guy he can change them or noindex if you are concerned.

Can you see multiple title elements
This came back in my on page grade for this url. http://www.towelsrus.co.uk/blog/choosing-the-right-towels.aspx Avoid Multiple Page Title Elements Web pages are meant to have a single title, and for both accessibility and search engine optimization reasons, we strongly recommend following this practice. Recommendation: Remove all but a single page title element. I can't see it, can you?

If Google still shows my old title in the search results then there is no way my title change could have changed my ranking yet right?
If Google still shows my old title in the search results then there is no way my title change could have changed my ranking yet right? In other words if I changed from TItleA to TitleB but search results and cache still show TitleA then any SERP drops or increases would still be entirely based on titleA right? Thanks.

Wordpress Title Element tag too long?
So apparently when I add the name of the blog within Wordpress, the name of the blog shows up after the the main title of each blog post and page. So trying to keep the title element >70 characters, how does one name the Wordpress blog as mine is/was: Lake Tahoe wedding photographer / Heidi Huber Photography and keep that only on the intro page and leave each page of the blog and the titles of the blog posts to not have "Lake Tahoe wedding photographer added to the end of the Title Element? Anyone have any idea? I also had gone in at one point and updated every single Title on each page/post using Yoast's SEO and the SEOMOZ crawl is still coming up with over 216 caution errors for the title page. Thank you so much for any advice! Heidi

Dupelicate content home page and custom page question
I am working on a website that got hit by the penguin update. Didn't get hit terribly bad, but dropped from number one to number 9. As I'm going through the pages, the theme and content is a mess. To give an example, say the site is about custom colored marbles. The main page content covers custom colored marbles, custom promotional marbles, custom glass marbles, etc. Custom colored marbles is mentioned and covered on all pages, which I am going back and trying to make each page theme specific. There is also a custom page, so I am at a cross roads on how best to employ the focus of the custom page and the home page. I am thinking the home page should emphasize colored marbles, and the custom page should emphasize custom colored marbles. My fear is that making such a drastic change will bounce the site completely off front page and that it will take time for the custom page to come up in rankings. AS it stands now I am confused as to how it even ranks on first page as there's two pages with custom colored marbles emphasis. Id like to clean this up as much as possible so there are no big hits with future google updates, but I don't want the site to drop off either as that would be hard to explain to the owner. Yeah, we are cleaning up your site and making it google compliant and in so doing you no longer rank on first page. That won't put food on the table. Thanks for any advise on this.

If i only want to rank for one specific keyword and use it in all my page titles, will it negatively affect my rankings?
If i want to rank highest for one specific keyword (virtualization management, for example) and use that keyword in all the titles on my website, will that negatively affect my search rankings? SEOmoz is telling me that i should use unique titles for my different pages to ensure that they describe each page uniquely and don't compete with each other for keyword relevance.
