4 days waiting for a Moz Crawl - How quick are yours?
-
Hi there
Please could anyone say how long they have been waiting for crawl results. I requested a crawl on a 20 page website and I have been waiting 4 days since last weekend.
I checked Moz Health and there have been no related issues there: http://health.moz.com/
Your response would be welcome.
Thanks

Hey there!
The backlog of reports is clearing out now. It looks all of your reports that were submitted prior to today have been completed now and the newest report should complete within the normal 24 hour time period.
Please do let me know if I can help you with anything else.

I am so sorry that your crawl tests haven't completed yet! We are currently experiencing a major backlog with our crawl tests. Our engineers are aware of the issue and working to get these reports completed as quickly as possible, but I'm afraid we don't have a timeline for when we will get through the backlog.
The issue is now reported on health.moz.com if you would like to follow there for further updates.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this causes and I thank you for bearing with us while we work to get this resolved!

Page Title showing Twice when I check it through Moz Bar
Hello Experts, I have a brand new website. And I know I have to do lot of things and make changes for better SEO. With that in mind, I recently installed Mozbar. I was checking one of my posts the other day and noticed Page Title is appearing twice in Mozbar. Please see the screenshot below. Could you please guide me what could be causing this? FYI, I have installed Yoast SEO Plugin. Also, I can see "Alt Text" is picking lot many words which are from other images or posts...Is there any way to customize that as well? KhP9y

Has anyone had to deal with Moz crawl issues on their Zendesk support site?
If so - how did you end up resolving them? For instance we have 85 "temporary redirect" errors from our Zendesk support site in our crawl error report and we don't have access to the robots.txt file through Zendesk.

Site Crawl report show strange duplicate pages
Beginning in early in Feb, we got a big bump in duplicate pages. The URLs of the pages are very odd: Example URL:
Moz Bar | | Neo4j
http://firstname.lastname@website.com/dir/page.php
is duplicate with http://website.com/dir/page.php I checked though the site, nginx conf files, and referral pages, and could not find what is prefixing the pages with 'http://firstname.lastname@'. Any ideas? The person whose name is 'Firstname Lastname' is stumped as well. Thanks.0 -
Odd crawl test issues
Hi all, first post, be gentle... Just signed up for moz with the hope that it, and the learning will help me improve my web traffic. Have managed to get a bit of woe already with one of the sites we have added to the tool. I cannot get the crawl test to do any actual crawling. Ive tried to add the domain three times now but the initial of a few pages (the auto one when you add a domain to pro) will not work for me. Instead of getting a list of problems with the site, i have a list of 18 pages where it says 'Error Code 902: Network Errors Prevented Crawler from Contacting Server'. Being a little puzzled by this, i checked the site myself...no problems. I asked several people in different locations (and countries) to have a go, and no problems for them either. I ran the same site through Raven Tool site auditor and got some results. it crawled a few thousand pages. I ran the site through screaming frog as google bot user agent, and again no issues. I just tried the fetch as Gbot in WMT and all was fine there. I'm very puzzled then as to why moz is having issues with the site but everyone is happy with it. I know the homepage takes 7 seconds to load - caching is off at the moment while we tweak the design - but all the other pages (according to SF) take average of 0.72 seconds to load. The site is a magento one so we have a lengthy robots.txt but that is not causing problems for any of the other services. The robots txt is below. Too many products on the site at the moment (250k plus) which manufacturer default descriptions so we have blocked them and are working on getting the category pages and guides listed. In time we will rewrite the most popular products and unblock them as we go Many thanks Carl0 -
Performed a Moz Crawl Test - Says I have 107 External Links on Homepage??
Hello Mozzers! Exactly at the title suggests, I performed a crawl test on one our sites and the report says we have 107 external links on the homepage and another 34 on one of our internal category pages. On both of these pages I can only find 7 external links, anyone know why the crawl test is saying this? And if Moz is finding these external links could google be doing the same and punishing our site for the high number of external links? Any response appreciated! Richard

Understanding Onsite Elements and Moz's Onpage Grader
I'm currently helping a friend with his website. One of the pages I am targeting for his business is: http://stalbansdentist.com.au/dentist-cairnlea/ The main keyword this page is targeting will be "dentist cairnlea" (Cairnlea is a suburb near Melbourne, Australia) To perfect onsite optimization, I've used the Moz Onpage Grader. Generally, its straightforward, but I have encountered some issues... Appropriate Use of Rel Canonical The page does have the following tag: <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" href="http://stalbansdentist.com.au/dentist-cairnlea/" />. I thought this would suffice. What exactly do I need to do to fix this critical problem? Appropriate Characters in the URL I don't understand this one. The URL has completely appropriate characters. Why does Moz Onpage Grader insist that URLs here need to be appropriated? No More Than One H1 Tag There appears to be only one H1 tag on this page. Is Moz just wrong on this one or perhaps a little delayed? There were 2 H1 tags before one was deleted and a recheck done with this problem remaining on Moz's onsite check. Any assistance here on these 3 points and just understanding the Moz Onpage grader would be appreciated!
