I keep getting crawl errors for urls that have email addresses on the end. I have no idea what these are. Here is an example: the-audio-visual-system/sales@intercallsystems.com
Where would these be coming from, how are they created? How can i fix them? When I try to do a 301 redirect it doesn't work.
Thanks for your help,
Rena -
Thank you! That worked

Hi Rena
The links are a result of missing the proper mailto: tag when linking an email address. In the source code you will want to look for [sales@intercallsystems.com](<a class=)">
and replace it with <a <="" span="">href="mailto:</a>sales@intercallsystems.com">
Hope this helps!

Hi Matt,
Im still having issues with this. On my moz dashboard it says 49% of my pages have 404 errors. they all end with a email address. I've never seen a permalink like this and have no idea where they are coming from.
When I go to add redirection to them it won't let me. I have no problem fixing other 404 errors but any with an email ending will not allow me to with Redirection plugin.

Hi Rena!
Just checking, did Eric' answer take care of things? Or are you still having trouble with this?
-
Thanks for the response, I see them in webmaster tools in crawl errors. I had redone this site for them and i believe these were from the previous site. I wasn't sure what to do about them.

I'm not sure where you're seeing these crawl errors. Most likely, though, they are links in your website where you list your contact information (your email address). So, the pages that list sales@intercallsystems.com might have the link to your email coded wrong.

Hello to all, I'm Silvia. I am writing to ask if any of you know this site: tradenames.com. It is a domains broker. They contacted my client and would like to sell the .com business domain (my client currently has the .it). Does anyone know them? Thanks you for your help.

Are permalinks ending in / different than permalinks with nothing at the end?
In my Google Analytics, I have different stats for what I think is the same page, win-a-party and win-a-party/ I searched all over for the win-a-party/ page and I couldn't find it anywhere. Why would it be tracking these differently? Should I set a 301 from win-a-party/ to win-a-party?

Home Page .index.htm and .com Duplicate Page Content/Title
I have been whittling away at the duplicate content on my clients' sites, thanks to SEOmoz's pro report, and have been getting push back from the account manager at register.com (the site was built here and the owner doesn't want to move it). He says these are the exact same page and he can't access one to redirect to the other. Any suggestions? The SEOmoz report says there is duplicate content on both these urls: Durango Mountain Biking | Durango Mountain Resort - Cascade Village http://www.cascadevillagehotel.com/index.htm Durango Mountain Biking | Durango Mountain Resort - Cascade Village http://www.cascadevillagehotel.com/ Your help is greatly appreciated! Mod Rewrite / .htaccess avoid duplicate content
I have been searching and testing for hours but cannot find a solution. I am able to get a URL to display with out the file exntension. i.e domain.com/file instead of domain.com/file.php The problem is both versions of the URL above work, therefore a duplicate content issue. How can I force the URL with the file extension not to resolve and give a 404 error? Or just redirect to the non extension URL? IF it helps here is my code. Options +FollowSymLinks

.com or .net what is the answer
Ok. My site has been running as whitetail-mafia.com for about 3 years now. I recently switched to a new host (had to say good bye to godaddy). In the change I switched the site to whitetail-mafia.net I have whitetail-mafia.com, whitetailmafia.com, and whitetailmafia.net set for a 301 redirect to whitetail-mafia.net. I have recently transferred all of these to the same host now. However, during my first run at OpenExplorer I found that the old site whitetail-mafia.com was carrying some good weight. Did I shoot myself in the foot? Should I transfer everything back to .com and redirect to it since it has some history? Will my rankings for .com transfer over to the .net with the 301 redirect? looking for the best advice here before I spend too much time having to rebuild...
